What I love about Morden is that he seems to truly relish his job in a way that no other character in the B5 universe does.
Mountains come out of the sky…
Chris Ingersoll, that sounds familiar (lived in Boston a while back). Is that… Farmingham, or something?
Lyta and her arc are fine given what happened with the actors and such but Tallman is just NOT a good actress at all. JMS hired her because of her big eyes when he saw her the Night of the Living Dead remake and certainly her sharp features and red hair make her look appropriately striking for the role, but they…
No mention at all in the review or in the comments of Franklin and cryo-girl's almost budding romance.
I understand no one cares about Franklin- McCoy was the only cool doctor in sci-fi history (Doctor Who is not a real doctor!) but he is a major character and he has FEELINGS dammit!
Nightwatch, divided loyalties, Garibaldi's mentor-ship, figuring out his place in the world, Lyta. For a minor character, that is quite some arc.
But more importantly for me it's what he represents- that "aw shucks regular guy thing" is done to make him a stand-in for those of us who are not on the inside of…
I don't remember reading/hearing JMS talk about Twin Peaks specifically but sure I would think he'd be a fan- I mean say what you want about the man but he had good taste and would certainly appreciate a show being bold and radically different, something he was trying to do to some degree with B5.
P12 LEVEL SPOILERS
Yeah I cannot think of any more boring type of story than one that involves "counseling."
No folks this is not the place to tell me how great In Treatment was, sorry.
Agree on wanting to see an alternate reality Warriors-on-B5.
Disagree on Zack Allen. Love his personality, love his arc, probably the best non-major character.
"Talia, largely missing from the second season so far…"
I feel stupid and naive, but I don't get that joke. Ecclesiastic is a bible reference of some sort? So what would being into that sexually entail?
Every episode makes me blurt out HOLY SWEET SHIT one time.
This week: CORPSE BRIDGE.
No there's also his old friend that pops by later this season whom Londo kills in a sword fight.
That accent is basically the older generation, formal aristocratic sound. Same with the larger hair crests. At least that's how it's ret-conned after Jurassik basically made up that accent and then actors playing Centauri…
Agreed about the Drazi and their stupid political structure. Later on in the series they are crafty and mean and rather frightening, and it's hard to reconcile these two things.
Do not like technmages. They just seem …pointless. I mean what is the freaking point of dedicating your life to being a pretend wizard? Ok supposedly they know secrets and are really swift with laser tech and whatnots. But to what end? Just to sound all mystical and whatever? Blech.
I don't know what you're talking about. Legend of the Rangers never happened.
*sticks fingers in ears* LA LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU SLEEPING IN LIGHT IS THE LAST THING EVER PRODUCED IN THE B5 UNIVERSE LA LA LA LA LA LA
Love Refa, he's like the Dick Cheney of the Centauri.
Only quibble is the accent- I think it sounds silly from him and hampers his effectiveness a bit.
Other than that, he is one of the few characters who plays out just perfectly.
Well I did like the twist on how the alien misinterpreted the station's social structure. Other than that, yeah, sex jokes and B5 go together like ketchup and eggs.
