While I agree (and after about 15 years of not being able to get passed Bono's ego, I am lately finding it possible to enjoy "One" again), I still don't think I would complain about getting a free Nickelback album. I would just delete it and move on.

But iTunes distinguishes between music, books and podcasts. As long as your meta tags are accurate, when you shuffle your music all you'll get is music. Granted, they don't have a category for stand-up, but I tend to tag them as audiobooks, just to keep them out of the music. Of course one could also use that feature

As someone who was a at the tale-end of my teenage years when Twin Peaks, I beg you to redo your math. The characters will be early to mid-forties—that's hardly grandparent age.

Did he at least include Chicken Noodle Man?

I got the impression that the whole thing was rehearsed between the two of them.

Final season? When did they announce that?

I think it was allmusic.com that described "Six Different Ways" as a song that sounded nothing like anything the Cure had ever done before, but still sounded unmistakably like the Cure.

I thought what they said was that they want to finish this storyline in three seasons. By that, what I figured they meant was some new mystery would come along that we could enjoy for 2 or 3 more seasons.

Funny you should say that. I heard once that banana peels were used on the silver screen instead of the (presumably fake) dog shit that was used in vaudeville.

They don't even have to be living with the Dad for this not to break continuity. Memory ain't perfect and Louie is remembering an event from his childhood that didn't involve his siblings, so they don't end up as part of the story.

Regarding "whoever" she is, I don't know much about her, just that her podcast gets advertised on Judge John Hodgman, Jordan Jesse Go and other Maximum Fun podcasts, because it's part of that podcast network. I haven't actually listened to it, but here's the link:

Where and when did we chose these songs? I'm a pretty regular reader of the AV Club, but not once have I ever seen a posting on the site about voting for the songs.

I really don't get comments like this. Radiohead makes music that a lot of people (myself included) love. I often find it challenging on the first or second listen to get into it (or in the case of In Rainbows, until after King of Limbs came out), but eventually something clicks for me and I end up adoring it.

For me it's Death Cab for Cutie. After so many of my friends sang their praises, I picked up Transatlanticism, put it on and then let it fade into the background. There's nothing objectionable about them or anything, they just don't hold my attention. To me, they're indie rock elevator music.

Flaying?

@avclub-34a0cc9e710ab7fc376d918356d4a6e5:disqus I think you and @disqus_no_one:disqus are missing another possibility.

I think in a world that has a giant green monster man, a thunder god, a guy in computerized metal suit that can do almost anything, a guy with superhuman strength who was frozen for decades and a really good archer (okay maybe not that last one), these folks are what counts as normal.

It was their best song, except for every other song they did.

Except that Drake didn't just criticize him for posting his text. He criticized him for not also telling the rest of the nominees that they should have won. Basically he's complaining that the guy only stroked Lamar's ego and not Drake's too.
