I didn't get it either until someone else had it in a comment.

Yup, I'm with you on Catherine and Narcisse. I've been looking forward to them. While she's vulnerable now, they generally are together on an even playing field. I don't expect her down for long and I'm looking forward to it.

I'm not sure I can convince you. There are sparks of something like the first season, but it's been a drag. You are not alone. The ratings are not good.

How many times does he bleed from the ear though? Is it chronic? I think this is the end. I actually felt bad and thought the actor did a very nice job with him this episode.

Right. Nothing happened between them other than that.

You are not alone at all. She does talk and I think she's turned a corner, like again in this one, but it all fizzles away.

There was just too much of the writer's hand in the plot machinations for me in this one.

My only quibble is that the producers/writers literally said that was going to happen the last time the cure was around, but since so many people guessed it, it went to Katherine. How could they make it work this time?

It's so similar to the sire bond for me. They took a relationship I assume they wanted people to get behind, although admittedly Damon and Elena had a thousand times more issues than Caroline and Stefan ever could, but they throw this wrench in to make things "epic."

The tomb thing doesn't make sense, but Katherine was the one who drank the cure.

She's not the showrunner of The Originals either though. I think she's refocused on TVD this season due to the issues with the last one being not very good, but that's just the sense I've gotten from some interviews.

I'm not sure having Caroline visit for one episode would exactly upset everything Klaus is doing or not doing there.

I think he only saw the footage and didn't realize what she was doing when it was happening. He's very lucky there was no sound…or is there?

Poor Kelly! Why couldn't they have cleaned up a little of the blood that dripped down her neck too?

Yes, Dan needs to look up what "empathy" means. He wasn't being empathetic. He was being patronizing. The double-negative thing is grating too.

I thought Hali had been kind to Nina, but the first thing out of her mouth this week was "Good riddance." Disappointing for sure.

Did you notice the crowd at the rap battle too? Hilarious stuff.

Rhonda killing Vernon was probably my favorite part. (So wrong to type out, but it was so soapy and good.) I'm glad Rhonda and Andre have this secret to deal with and a baby now too.

I thought both episodes were a train wreck compared to a great first season. There was so much I had trouble keeping up with, but I was mesmerized and I'm looking forward to it coming back.

I thought at least 3 times I had to be witnessing dream sequences, including when Jamal held Boretti over the ledge.
