I totally agree about Elena. She even literally said she had to find herself as a person without her relationship with Damon defining it. It's almost like they have been reading our comments!!!

I'm still confused on what I think of this season of TVD. I can't turn away and not in a hate-watching way, but in a 'I'm not sure if I actually like this' sort of way.
A slow-mo tug no less.
I actually really liked this episode. I watched the one before as well, which always helps.
Yeah, I'm near the bottom and Wes actually not speaking ever is a concern.
I watched them back to back, so they worked as a whole better than I'm sure it was to wait a week. I was still excited from Drew getting the boot when I watched last night's episode.
Barry grinning like a moron is my favorite thing.
I stock up like this lady. My sister already bought me two boxes too. I need it!
He had four months to tell her and didn't. He did have a chance.
Yeah, I get the feeling he was the author, she gave him a look, and then he nervously laughed.
Stefan didn't let them acknowledge it. He just left. He didn't say I really need to move on with my life until 4 months in when they confronted him. I agree that letting Damon go is probably the best thing he can do. He just could have done it by telling his best friend that.
Amazing episode all around.
I completely agree about Stefan and Caroline's conversations. She was totally within her right to tell him off for ignoring her. He's justified in wanting to move on from his brother's death and that can include not returning her calls. It's rude and hurtful, but it's not a crime.
As a big Caroline supporter, I'd be intrigued what you thought of it. She's present quite a bit which is nice. The Elena-Damon stuff was not interesting. A lot of flashbacks to things we've already seen.
I'm a bit jaded, but you're right. I'm just confident in this instance that she'll be around. I think the regular cast needs to be thinned out.
I've been saying the same thing about Elena for the past season or two. Why are they making her weak? She can be emotional and still strong, but I hope the compulsion puts it to bed for a long time. (At least until Damon and Bonnie come back from wherever they are. I would die of laughter if they just remained there…
I don't really want Ivy back, but they can't get rid of people, so I'm sure she'll be turned. I'm not sure that I have a feeling about her either way. I just want people who died (more than once) to stay dead. I'm looking at you, Enzo!
Similarly, I really wished the scenes with Stefan ended with Caroline telling him off. She dealt with it. She was strong and then Enzo had to go and follow up for her? No thanks.
"Nostradamus, also returned at this point, will try to extract the peppercorn from Francis' ear with a red-hot poker dipped in radioactive cyanide."
There are threads about last night's episodes in both the Reign review and the What's on Tonight post if anyone is interested.
