1. Yes. That scene was weirdly done. They were too over the top and if they toned it down a little, it would have been less jarring. Another weird editing moment was when Damon was zapped by the vervain and then they show where he was in the cell. Something about that transition didn't work. I thought it was a

I hear Ed Chill whenever they say it.

I missed this once again, but only 2 days late this time.

I read about 30 pages of Ulysses and gave up. There are too many other books to be read before I'd consider going back.

Divergent is really easy to get through. I have the third one that just came out which is next on my list.

I just finished The Count on my Kindle. It was the Penguin edition and just happened to be the one I picked, which I later found out was the recommended one.
Good Luck!

Cool. I bought Lawrence in Arabia as well, but haven't started it. It is a period of time that I don't know quite a bit about, which was the appeal. Good to know you liked it.

On the other hand, he was pushing Bash along that route though.

Here's why I don't think it worked and yes, I agree the second one was murder.

I didn't really like this episode. Francis was less appealing than ever. I have feelings for you, but I can't commit myself to you, but we'll stay engaged. You can't actually have sex Mary, and oh don't make out with my brother. Huh?

It was very confusing.

You could just refer anyone who asks to last week's thread. Or you could get on Tumblr, since that's probably where you get the most out of your life's passion.

I thought you were implying because Damon came around to love her later, it didn't matter. It matters if you consent at the time it happens.

Serious conversation, but this made me laugh out loud.

If it isn't consensual, it's assault.

Do we have to get into more bashing of Klaus and Caroline?

Caroline and Elena are very different though. I'm not sure what Damon has done was really much of a deterrent for Elena. I thought it was more that she was in love with his brother. Did she ever have conversations with Damon as Caroline and Klaus have? I can't think of any in particular. Caroline and Klaus (and

I think we're supposed to believe the fight they had a few seasons ago was enough. I'm not sure how they could address it and keep Damon in the fold though, so they generally ignore it.

Caroline needs to be in control, so having Jesse freak out on Damon obviously touched a nerve. She also probably saw Jesse as a project so she wouldn't think about Tyler and it backfired in her face.

In the present, her skin was too dewy-looking, like she had on a lot of makeup, or as if her cheekbones had been highlighted. Charlie had the same thing and her hair looked wet the entire time. Either it was wet or she found a can of 15 year old mousse.
