Argh. I'm trying to decide if my long-standing hatred of George from Alias outweighs my love of Stephen Dillane. I didn't even care about Syd/Vaughn, so that wasn't why I hated her; she was just such an absolute killjoy in any scene she was in, even ones that had nothing to do with the love triangle. So it annoys me

It's not even the face. It's the condescending, dismissive, self-absorbed, psychotically delusional asshat monologue he gives BEFORE the face… The kind of monologue usually reserved for crazy, obsessive villains in moustache-twirling movies who want the hero's girl. NOT usually for "protagonists". Gaaaah, hate like I

Frasier all the way. I was actually trying to think of some theme-relevant Frasier episodes last week so there would be a reason to talk about the series. It should totally be added to the TV Club Classic rotation.

Agreed! These really are a little highlight of the week. So well done!

I completely disagree that Pacey was exaggerating. That super creepy glance that silently commanded Pacey to miss the bulls-eye took it from "an unhealthy relationship with dad" to "get Pacey into foster care, stat".  I was literally scared for the kid's well-being. And then, it turns out that Papa Witter is the kind

Wow, I didn't know that was the original song. I don't really care for it in general, but it definitely would have been/was perfect there.

But IS she popular? That's what I don't get. I think if I better understood her 'position', she wouldn't bug. Do popular girls expend this much energy trying to actively destroy the well-being of random kids? The Ali Larter character who thought Pacey had a heart stripe… she made sense immediately. Popular pretty girl

Pacey's little coup at the end is so very great. It is so telegraphed and ridiculous, but in such an ultimate TV way, where you know what's going to happen, but that doesn't make it any less satisfying.

I agree that it's really spot on. The soapy plotting is all TV melodrama, but the characters and their reactions to things and each other are perfectly teenage.

I always assumed they landed it somewhere random and then paid
people off to keep it secret. They made a point of showing that Miles had dug up Nikki & Paolo's bodies, because
he was holding the diamonds. They couldn't make a big deal of it at the
time because that would have given away the fact that they'd get off the

For some reason I thought "The Ant: An Introduction" was that bizarrely mesmerizing episode about Eric Idle buying an Ant at a weird department store. That must be another one. Silly of me to think the episode about ants would actually have the word "Ant" in the title.
