Not only that, but boy was that fight visceral. Mads Mikkelsen's performance has a lot to do why I've never wished harm onto Hannibal but he kinda deserved that ass whopping. It felt good. That's a rare emotion for this show. Not that I'm complaining.

Did True Detective crib notes from Hannibal? Does anyone know the answer to that? Season One would have gone into production about the same time as the first season of Hannibal was wrapping up.

Bradley Whitford is one of my acting heroes. Two of my favorite West Wing episodes, "In The Shadow of Two Gunmen" & "Noel," rank as some of the best television the medium has ever produced. No joke.

Just curious is anyone still rooting for this show, in spite of itself?

This movie used to be on repeat a lot when I was younger. I haven't seen it all the way through in more than a few years, but I'm afraid if I sat through it now I'd consider it something awful.

I quote Roger Ebert, I wouldn't recommend it even if you cut it up into ukelele picks.

The only good this movie serves is if it preceeds a double feature with High Fidelity.

Oh my goodness, that moment at the dinner table when Bedelia realizes that the food Hannibal is serving her is basic marinade for her flesh in the event he decides to eat her is a thing of beauty.

A don't avoid much anymore simply out of spite anymore. I'm always willing to give creators who want to tell a story the benefit of the doubt that their story is worth telling…

His single scene in WarGames is a gem, bouncing off of John Spencer, deliberating whether they should exterminate 10 million people.

This is seriously disappointing, I really wanted Wiig to play the homeowner who got shot in the head by her neighbor's dog.

Very excited to experience these new batch of episodes, especially from the perspective as an adult. I hope the revival isn't simply a rehash of the mythology. I'd like to be reminded of what the show did great over the six-episode run, from the MOTW stories (mostly the ones by Vince Gilligan) and obviously the

I feel like House of Cards main appeal is contingent on the episodes being consumed in a few sittings. It quickly falls apart otherwise. The fact that the show is more of a soap fest this season confirms that for me; it's borish fast food for less discriminating TV viewers.

Rik Swartzwelder is gonna feel like an idiot when he discovers what Old Fashioned is slang for…

A ham?

I prefer Cox's performance to Hopkins when they eventually remade Red Dragon. It's a much more tightly controlled, perfectly fastidious, yet very menacing performance.

Is it too much to ask for a followup to Zero Effect. Jake Kasdan, I know you're listening! I'll take a film or a book at this point!

Yeah. S5 is a mess with only a handful of highlights but there's plenty to recommend from the last two years of the show, even if the show under John Wells never duplicated Sorkin's tone.

Well if he's okay with Midnight Run, then he's okay with me!

A few people are MIA here, including Janel Moloney & Rob Lowe, but John Spencer's absence is most notable. It's mostly the reason why the show ended at the dawn of the Santos administration, he was its lifeforce.
