I don't remember the interview but they made up an insignia and unit for Matthew. Something about the regiment of the Duke of Manchester or something, since that is where Matthew is originally from and probably where he was educated.

Dan Stevens is a good actor, but TERRIBLE at being paralyzed. I think it's next week when he's in a wheelchair and keeps bobbing his legs up and down while he talks. Its really distracting.

When Sybil and Mary "wash" him when he gets to the hospital, did they like WASH wash him? Broken wang and all?

It's funny about the "Ms. Dockery earned her Emmy" comment, because Downton fans were so angry she wasn't nominated this year…except they forgot those noms were for Season ONE of Downton. That being said if she doesn't get a nod next year for S2, I will be shocked.

The ability to insult someone in a way that sounds almost charming, is a skill I want to have. But apparently it's genetic. Mary is Violet, only younger and with more relationship issues.

Apparently they cut the little exchange at Matthew's first dinner back when Mary asks him what it's like in the war. He says he just can't talk about it. Shame because that's a great moment.

Mary didn't technically blow him off either…she just kept not giving him an answer. That last scene between them in Season 1 was Matthew withdrawing the proposal he made to her.

Especially since most of the eligible men are about to die in the war.

Mary is awesome. And she has the best clothes. Let's not forget Mary only broke up Edith's engagement after Edith spread gossip about Mary to London…which was really fucking dumb because if the story got out Edith would have just ruined her whole damn family…including herself.

Yeah it will be the last episode. So US viewers will be lucky and not have 2 months between the last ep and the christmas special lucky bastards. That was a miserable two months.
