Fred Armisen as the guy with the hammer and the giraffe remains the best thing about this somewhat lackluster episode.

I'd like to see more of Aidy Bryant. Also, they have slightly altered the credits. Kate McKinnon's incredibly sexy shot was replaced.

Also, a "weird boner" scenario.

That sketch did remind me of The Culps… good times.

They don't seem to have the rights to the song that was played during the monologue.

There is indeed a 90s vibe to the new credits and theme. But using photographs of the cast members instead of films makes it easier to edit the titles when someone new joins the cast. When Kate McKinnon surprisingly joined SNL, her segment looked different, less flashy, I guess. And her walking alongside her "friends"

She appeared during the Laurence Welk Show and Kristen's last dance. That's all I can remember. But this has been Kristen's night, really. The other girls were graceful enough to let her shine one last time as a cast member. Well, that's what I hope it is.

Jimmy Fallon earlier this season made the mistake of reprising the sketch without Mick Jagger, but with Andy Samberg, which was - there's no other way to put it - "meh."

Let Nasim become the rising star! She's got the goods, I tell you!
