So glad to see Isabella back to her true self. And I'm ashamed of myself … I knew I recognized Galavant, Sr., but I had NO CLUE it was Mr. Emma Thompson.

Spartacus!

Eww, no.

I will watch Just Wright … it's no Love and Basketball, but Queen Latifah's charm and charisma elevate it.

There's a first season ep of Elementary involving a child molester and a previous victim, who turns out to have sociopathic tendencies.

*starts plotting a trip to NY* Thank you!

Speaking of Sense and Sensibility - TCM, January 22nd, 10 pm EST.

It is my hope, one day, to track down a filming of his performance as Valmont in Les Liaisons Dangereuses. He did a lot of things in his onscreen career, but his onstage career is even more varied, and the idea of Rickman using his voice to actively, intentionally seduce … it does things to me.

An Awfully Big Adventure! I abhorred that movie … not because it wasn't well made or well acted (not to mention the interesting switch of Rickman playing the tragic character and Hugh Grant being the utter bastard), but it was marketed over here as a gentle period comedy about trodding the boards. That movie is a few

My co-worker mentioned that. I haven't seen it, but I have seen Blow-Dry

No, you are not alone.

I did. I'm starting to rethink it.

Hold up now. Did you forget Basil Rathbone entirely? Because he's actually the most villainous sheriff (and the best swordfighter of the bunch).

Sympathies on your cat …

Stop right there. Don't even.

Take me with you? I just want to sleep until summer.

I went into this movie with a slight crush for Costner and left with an enormous crush for Rickman. I started rooting for the Sheriff of Nottingham about halfway through the film. Given how hokey and leaden much of the film is, Rickman's performance made it not only tolerable, but palatable.

To quote The Blogess - I can't. I accepted Bowie, don't make me do this again so soon.

Ha!

I just want to commend Katie (or her editor) for using a screenshot from the original movie. DIVINE FOREVER!
