wow, I had no idea that the baseball was introduced in "If Wishes … " (I skipped it too)

the lesson is: never tell the same lie twice
"Call to Arms" is a great season-ender - Sisko leaving the baseball in his office for Dukat to find, to tell him that he's sure as hell coming back, is grade A badassery
also, the franchise's best line -
I don't know if "In the Pale Moonlight" is the best ST episode ever, but I would argue that the last 10 minutes or so - Sisko's confrontation with Garak and his closing monologue - is the best damn 10 minutes of the franchise.
@Emperor Jim - the cops were Weyoun and DUKAT, not Damar. Damar was the doctor in the psych ward.
I just did a run-through of DS9 that I wrapped up about two months ago, so - hooray!
I have a friend who has to fly from NYC to Michigan for a weekend to serve as a bridesmaid. Not just Michigan, UPPER PENINSULA Michigan. Weddings are bloody evil, they are.
sadly, I think Elvis has gone country/bluegrass partly out of necessity - his voice isn't really strong enough to belt it out anymore, so he sticks with softer tunes. Listen to him do one of the This Year's Model/Get Happy era songs now and it's noticeable how much strain he goes through
I swear, I didn't see moon-man's post when I wrote that
"Hey gang, check it out! The Harlem Globetrotters' bus just broke down in our parking lot!"
I, Borg was maybe my favorite TNG episode back in the day. I think I really need to go back and see it again, I remember it working perfectly well at the time - the stuff about not believing that Beverly would insist on treating Hugh or Picard would give up on the virus never really occurred to me.
He should have at least walked up to the podium with "Theme from Shaft" playing
have you guys seen the new nickel? Jefferson looks pretty damn good
a car-window decal depicting Alexander Hamilton urinating on Lord Corwallis
ANDAFOWWWWWL!
yes, but Pelley has made great strides for the BigForeheaded
I've seen that jersey too - always a blast
"The Opposite" was broadcast in May, 1994; it was probably written and filmed sometime in 1993. At that point the Yankees were pretty respectible - finished 2nd in the division, had Showalter, Wade Boggs, Paul O'Neil, Bernie Williams. They had the best record in the AL when the strike hit. So I don't think the joke of…
Hong Kong dollars?
Indian cents
