I love all the implications of what's almost a throwaway scene; to have gotten stuck in there, she'd have to have been in the school before the riots broke out, which means she just hangs around in a school that's not her own on a regular basis. And Damian wears sunglasses, and immediately hides his face after yelling

I figured they'd have to introduce superpowers at some point for Black Canary, but now that they don't have to, this Flash spinoff is even more odd.

"Actually, Black Canary doesn't need her sonic scream to be adapted for the show. They are, after all, going with Golden Age version, who did not have any superpowers whatsoever."

Does it have a bad reputation? Most people I've encountered recognise it as just the way you describe. I hope I'm not travelling in a minority opinion circle here.

Well, I don't think they'll go with the costume; they didn't on Smallville, after all. I'm more curious to see how exactly they'll show his speed, since the show hasn't tipped over to superpower territory yet. But maybe this hints Black Canary's emergence too.

You must be fun at parties.

Good point.

If these accounts and comments aren't real yet, they soon will be.

There are already about 50 pieces of erotic fanfiction stories and art pieces featuring Cumberbatch and Lars Mikkelsen on tumblr.

I'm in agreement with this. Being the Big Bad in a few mindless blockbusters would be a natural fit and an easy paycheque for him.

This is the mindset I subscribe to as well. They're both consenting adults, capable of making decisions for themselves, and this is obviously not a drunken Vegas wedding kind of deal. So leave them be.

That it does, though that was an English show, right? Does that still count as European? Actually, I don't know why it wouldn't.

So it is. My bad.

I clearly need to brush up on both my geography and network-show associations.

He turned in a great performance in Monsters.

I feel like Showtime, with Homeland and The Bridge, has pretty much cornered the market on high quality European tv adaptations. AMC is already playing from behind with Fuck You, The Killing, but casting Mark Strong and Lennie James are steps in the right direction. Still, I'd feel a lot better if it was on Showtime.

Wait, I thought we were talking about Lee Pace, not John Malkovich.

And the presence of Miles Teller, who I think is in a much better position to take over the Hanks mantle than anyone else right now.
