Vogel: Dexter, you are not a true psychopath, your dark p… oh right, we don't say that anymore… you shouldn't have these feelings. But if you do, and it's an emergency, my spare key is in the potted plant.

She was probably working out…. 'Where can I shoot her for the most dramatic effect whilst creating a reasonable chance for survival.'
It's somewhat understandable, she's used to taking everyone at their word. She believes in the best in people… that won't last.
It gives something for Dexter's writers to aspire to though.
I'm an independent business woman looking to live comfortably…. no wait, I just wuv Barbie so much, pwease can we just be together. Please, I'll even shoot your girlfriend for you….
As time goes on, he looks increasingly like a satire on Twilight's Edward. Pity that Angie has a brain and her own will, unlike Bella.
This episode, I think, was a needed shifting of the pieces before the final act. It was also a pre-emptive strike against hardening sympathies, the exposure of the true characters beneath the actions. Hank's chilling indifference to Jesse's fate, Skyler's disaffected detachment to any moral compass, then we have Walt,…
A good distinction I think. Othello was driven by paranoia, susceptibility, inferiority complexes and jealousy. As for Iago, I would never attribute any one cause for his actions. He himself seems ill aware of why he does what he does. You could mention his desperate fixation on the alleged adultery of his wife…
I havent heard this before… what was the planned Louis storyline? I figured they aborted it for some reason.
How could Harrison live without the "Aunt Deb, I learnt to write my name." - "Hey… that's great" interchanges. The familial bond between them is so deep.
Ha, I never though I'd see the day when we use season three clips to showcase quality Dexter, but man that is so good to see, the way Dex just obliterates him through conversation.
You just have a vendetta against subtext there don't ya.
I think I can sort of understand Julia letting Barbie off, she's completely alone, like she says, she's seen that he's basically a good man willing to risk his life for others, and she knew that Peter's death was basically suicide by cop (or debt collector/enforcer). Principles don't keep you warm at night.
Saxon must be a genius!
They did the same with Dexter and Lumen, made them act like freaking children. It's like that cannot write an adult conversation.
I miss the Dex/Rita conversations, I just miss Rita, this show died with her. I think I may just buy the 1-4 seasons on DVD and then forget all the others existed.
Funniest line of this ep was when Angel says "Quinn's a great cop" - yeah, based on what? The fact that he screws every female suspect and witness and evidence in his cases routinely disappears.
They played the pseudo-family card for Dex and Vogel, so I guess they're trying to make Dex and Oliver spiritual brothers, except they had like, no scenes at all together. Rudy trying to bond with Dexter was seriously funny creepy, Oliver just comes off as a sad, desperate mommy's boy.
I thought that was Quinn's line?
Can't argue with that, it was a very nice bottom.
