Let the heathens spill theirs
On the dusty ground
God shall make them pay
For each sperm that can't be found.

"I'm tellin' ya, honey, she meant nothin' to me. Nothin' at all!"

I seem to have lost my sense of direction.

Acts of kindness
The opening talk between Swearengen and Merrick is my favorite moment of the series, without a doubt. That opening quote has gotten my family and me through some painful roads.

Rod Serling's just an imaginary character created by dictation machine.

Rest in peace
As depressing as all the recent losses have been, this one hits hard for me. Losing Cronkite is like losing a whole era. At least it can be said that he lived a very full, mostly happy life.

I agree with everyone; it seems the Emmys have cooled on The Office, and that's just sad. It's not that I don't like 30 Rock, but The Office definitely deserved more nods, especially in the writing category. 30 Rock getting four writing nominations just seems like overkill.

I think he wanted to scare up a panic, but he assumed he'd be out of the way when the panic happened, given the time it would take for Merrick to print the notice in his paper, distribute it, etc. Merrick's decision to post the notice changed the game. The "hoopleheads" were already together, ready to form a quick

"HOO-AH! Jay, this is Al HOO-AH Pacino. I can't stop saying HOO-AH! Go see my new movie: Godfather Part HOO-AH!"

I want to own a squadron of tanks.

"WU! AMERICA!"

I think she needs to stay away from holiday cakes in general. Not that anything else she makes is any better, but the holiday cakes are a whole extra load of insanity. The Kwanzaa monstrosity in particular. And the non-kosher, 5-pointed-star Hanukkah cake.

The "fainting" scene is hysterical; sometimes it's easy to forget how funny the show can be. And I agree with you on Charlie. He's awesome this season, especially when he's with Jane or Joanie.

Ennio Morricone is one of the greatest - you've got the Western soundtracks on one end, and then the gorgeous work he did on The Mission and The Legend of 1900 (not so great movie, awesome music).

David, that was brilliant.

Gwyneth?

I didn't see this. I especially did not see Seth Green and Matt Dillon in this. This is what the Germans saw when they opened the Ark of the Covenant.
