I did the same, it really is just great. There was also an extra episode that was only shown last year in the UK and I think they are showing it sometime this season in the US (have no idea why)…but it's easy to find.

I would assume in any type of apocalyptic situation that a good percentage of women would stop menstruating; lack of nutrients and food, in constant fight-flight mode, etc.
