it actually is (relatively)! i've been one of the biggest detractors of season 4 but this episode was easily a return to form of sorts.

they need to shoot multi-camera sitcoms on video/at 60fps again. all these unsmooth multi-camera sitcoms weird me out.

is Workaholics actually a low budget show, or do they just save money by doing less episodes per season? because if low budget shows can be that good (Louie, Party Down are better examples) i think we need more low budget comedies/comedy-dramas on tv

Just wanna go ahead and say thanks. This list has really helped me get into this show.

Sadly, I agree wholeheartedly. The excellence of season 2 is long gone. I just don't see what is so damn funny about season 4. It's so bland I don't believe for a second that it's a result of "natural sitcom decay".

I think if season 5 of Parks & Rec isn't more like season 2 I'm gonna stop watching. Season 4 has been hugely disappointing in the "good jokes, well-executed pathos and respecting past character developments" department.

I'm fairly certain that if they bring back John Levenstein, who co-wrote Top Banana, Visiting Ours, Marta Complex, wrote Good Grief - basically some of the show's absolute best, it's going to be great.

I'd much more likely watch the show if the title character was an actual bee.

Hey, so, I've always appreciated Adventure Time for its creativity, but up until today I've never really found any episode funny/entertaining enough to watch the show on a regular basis. It was a bit too hit-and-miss for me. However, this opinion was based primarily on episode viewings from season 1, and I just saw a

I don't know, I know it's a fart joke several shows have done before, but it's one of the classier ones, especially given the sound effects they chose.

I'm still mad about the whole Bent thing. It's not hilarious yet but even from the first episode it was much better than Up All Night.

I don't know, I liked the editing. The instant cut away from "Backfat need a backbone." after the pause before he said it was hilarious.

I really like this show now. "HD" was a great episode. Wish it wasn't pretty much cancelled.

The biggest thing that bugs me about this show is that the quality and "voice" of the humor+pathos is never the same. This wouldn't be a problem if it was always really good, but it's not. I like that they're always experimenting but I don't like how they keep ignoring the stuff that really works. I don't mean that

I usually dislike single camera sitcoms that are "more pleasant than funny" because they have annoying writing (Up All Night, for example) but I really don't have any problems with this one. I only laughed audibly a few times but I couldn't stop watching and don't really have any complaints at all. Fuck NBC for

It looks like they might be trying the 6-episode-first-season-then-proper-22-or-24-episode-debut-in-the-fall move they did with Parks And Rec. (and The Office?)

So I was watching "Sweetums" just now and it astounds me how much the overall pace/tone of the show has changed since. The scenes where Mark and the gang are helping Tom move are so naturalistic, it feels like we're just observing some interesting people who happen to say and do funny things. I miss that.

It's not that there are no moments in season 4 that I enjoy, but the ratio of moments that fall flat to me to moments that don't is very high compared to season 2 (including my re-watch opinions of season 2) (I love season 2) and I have no real idea why. Something's just really, really off. I've been having much more

I know I'm one to harp on these new episodes, but I will say that this was the first episode since End Of The World to give me hope that the writers haven't completely thrown out the incredible low-key show they had in the Rock Show - Freddy Spaghetti period. I laughed quite a bit, too, mostly because there were a lot
