Finally got to watch "Jeopardy!" after two days of missing it. I liked all of the players, and am fine with Kelly's win. I didn't know what the FJ category was, and since the picture was where we'd usually see the category, I was missing some context, thus didn't try to answer.

Our heads are round so thought can change direction. - Allen Ginsberg (June 3, 1926 – April 5, 1997)

Thanks for sharing.

I didn't see that movie, but am a big Spalding Gray fan. If anyone knows where I can find "Morning, Noon & Night" on CD or MP3, let me know. It apparently only exists on cassette.

Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens.

Dear Prudence has some good answers today:

Happy Birthday, Dennis Haysbert (b. June 2, 1954)

A resolution to avoid an evil is seldom framed till the evil is so far advanced as to make avoidance impossible. – Thomas Hardy (2 June 1840 – 11 January 1928)

You wouldn't know to look at me, but I am a fan of Afrika Bambaataa, or I was. It's one thing to learn your idols are merely human, but another to learn they are horrible.

Cleavon Little (June 1, 1939 – October 22, 1992)

Thank you for the recap; I missed "Jeopardy!" because Osiris' stepsisters and their guys were in town. We all (and Son of Isis) went to dinner near our house.

We didn't much use the word "douche" back then, but this guy was one. Not because of his connection to the Mandrells, because he read paperbacks about body language and thought he could read people. And other reasons, like being creepy, back when us girls were supposed to be nice even to creeps.

Hey, y'all, the world is gonna end this week. Allegedly:

In my late teens, in the Mandrell Sisters' heyday, I knew a guy (whom I didn't like) who was related to the Mandrells. He kinda bragged about getting kissed by the flirtatious blonde, Irlene. Uh, you already told us she was your cousin, dude.

I like how Trebek called Erin "a delightful young lady", leaving unsaid "so much better than that douche, Buzzy."

Extra funny to me because I am Cajun. (Osiris isn't, though. )

Over here, over there, it's the same everywhere
A boy cries out for his mama before he dies for his home

That *is* really irritating.
