Happy Birthday, Alfred Molina (b. 24 May 1953)
Next week's challenge: Name a common household item in 6 letters. Change the middle two letters to a P, and you'll get the 5-letter last name of a famous person who professionally used that item. What's the item, and who's the person?
Son of Isis works at a well-known restaurant, so Bob's hip friends in “Secret Admiral-irer” were like him and his coworkers.

I haven't yet figured out the Will Shortz puzzle today; if you do, give me a clue; I've given you clues:
I'm not a minister, I'm not a philosopher, I'm not a politician, I'm in another category. - Sun Ra (May 22, 1914 – May 30, 1993)

I didn't even try to answer the NPR puzzle this week, so I won't complain about Will Shortz not calling. (Last weekend involved travel, my Pop's birthday, etc., so, while I listened to the puzzle, I didn't take time to solve it.)
One never knows, do one? - Fats Waller (May 21, 1904 – December 15, 1943)

Love that record. The first time I saw Lyle in concert was the tour for that, 1998, in San Antonio (I was visiting there, I lived in Lafayette, La, then). It was when I was saying I was going to marry Lyle. I never met him, so marrying him never happened.
Lyle Lovett is in it!
Indeed! She is in New Orleans (mostly) now. Her husband, Russ Broussard, is from Lafayette, LA.
Happy Birthday, Susan Cowsill. Here's a video of Susan (that I took with my phone) singing with her friends Jesse Moore and Paul Sanchez in December 2013.
Actions are right in proportion as they tend to promote happiness, wrong as they tend to produce the reverse of happiness. - John Stuart Mill (20 May 1806 – 8 May 1873) Utilitarianism (1863)
Loved the song! I want to download it!
In all seriousness, I want Aisha Tyler to host "Jeopardy!" Trebek has to retire sometime.
Osiris actually responded to that clue with "What is Cape Fear?"
