@avclub-c65a46c16b70bf886e62e791cd4a80b3:disqus I know, but that episode in particular was just REALLY REALLY sad. Like, the Levi-centric episode this season was just as good, and also sad, but not as… depressing.

Ahem, Betty Draper is just MISUNDERSTOOD. I'm a victim, people!
I didn't like the weekend, I think I got into the show from "Consider Helen." All I remember about The Weekend is that it made me feel sad!
This is pretty much my experience as well, although I was really liking the show at around the end of the last season. The first few episodes of the series are… ok, not mind-blowing or anything. And then this season… woah.
I guess you're right. It's probably different for every person. Some people probably accept themselves in their 20's, other people might never get there. I still think it's pretty unusual to make a radical change in your world view at middle age. Amy was once a VP at this company that she is trying to take down,…
@yahoo-4P3LYKST5PDEESQ6U3AVSN3BKI:disqus That's true I forgot about those shows on Showtime. I never saw Nurse Jackie or Weeds, but at least on Tara pretty much every character on that show was incredibly F-ed up, and Tara was messed up but not quite as subversive as an anti-hero. Maybe her other personalities were…
I think part of your reaction to Amy is that we're not used to seeing women characters portrayed as anti-heroes at all (not to call you sexist, this is my reaction and I'm a woman). We're used to seeing women portrayed as nurturing, self-sacrificing, and mature, even on sitcoms, so seeing someone as manipulative and…
She is pretty terrible, but she's also fairly sympathetic, and occasionally incredibly ballsy. Who has the nerve to tell a major CEO that, no, in fact, no one is going to "eat" him, he's going to get a golden parachute and go live in some tropical paradise if he wants to? I think that's one of Amy's major redeeming…
*I* can run in heels, I just can't run in 5-6 inch stiletto heels. The difference is crucial!!
I am GLAD that I am not the only person who thought to herself "A lady who needs to randomly kill people and run off would not wear those shoes. No one can run in those shoes."
I liked the episode, but I didn't like her. But I don't think she's meant to be terribly likable. I'm thinking that the main characters of the show are going to earn her trust, then her friendship, then they'll teach her to be a nice person, then everybody will be happy sappy buddies but that just seems way too…
We didn't really see what happened to Bear, did we? Did she rip his tongue out when she caught him licking her, like Uma Thurman in Kill Bill??
I don't know what it was about his intro, but the second I saw Cole I thought "That pasty white guy is going to die very soon." It took away all of the fun of the surprise!
The credits made me squeal with delight- I feel like it's some sort of CBS heresy to change up the credits which only made it more weirdly thrilling. They probably had to get permission from the head of the network or something. I have too much time.
I didn't like the Shaw character but I don't think she's meant to be likable, just pure badass. Clearly once she spends more time with Reese and Finch and Bear, she'll start being cute and sparkly and fuzzy as she should be.
Is he really an EMT now? He does not seem like the type of person you would want in emergency situations.
No.
Was anyone else weirdly heartbroken when they saw little 6 year old Archer drawing pictures of "Me & Mom?"
I don't know how, but somehow this show makes the concept of dating your dead brother's widow creepier than I think it has to be.
I liked this episode because as a child, it really really bothered me that cartoon characters never changed their outfits, and Calendar Girl does. In fact, it still bugs me a little, despite the fact that I have, you know, a mortgage and actual real life things to think about…
