LOL. Keep fucking that chicken

Bay has movies in the Criterion Collection because Criterion made a deal to distribute/market them purely as a financial decision as a deal with the original studios, not because they thought those films are of any particular merit. I don't know if they are even available anymore through Criterion.

Yep, that scene where Kilgore is trying to track down his surf board tonally kills what is, in the original, one of the most dynamic performances in the film.

Redux feels, in some ways, like a different movie to me. I really like it, but it does drag at times (the French plantation scene), and changes the audience view of Willard, in particular (added scenes made him a somewhat warmer, more human character, with extra humor instead of the cold-eyed, beaten down killer he is

Fear is the mindkiller. Accept your fate.
Saturday Night Armisen premiers next fall on NBC!

I could see Franco catching that on Hulu and saying "Hey…I've got an idea". Then the money just rolls right in

I do remember that being a pretty fun movie.

What if its your mom you are sleeping with, though?
Which, considering what a colossal waste of time, money, and everything else this farce seems to incorporate in the name of getting something to trend on Twitter, may well be part of the story, anyway.

Yes, was also thinking of that. First thing that came to mind, actually.

Seems clear what this is all about. People want SNL to be all Fred Armisen now.
It's a bold stance to take. I wish you luck with it.

Not bad, reminds me of something out of "Meaning of Life" or something.

Started reading Shea Serrrano's 'The Rap Yearbook", and it's an enjoyable book, brings back a lot of memories for me of early hip hop, and it's written with a lot of affection and humor, so recommend that. Also have this new Replacements bio on the desk, which I'm looking forward to, although how much nostalgia I

I read a fair amount of that book, too; it is interesting, but, as a heads up, he comes across like a prick even more as it goes along. It did make me revisit some of those early 90s bands he mentioned/was in, so that was good. Bitch Magnet was a solid band.

I still have a real love of all the IRS stuff, but after that, I'm just not interested. I tried with "Green" again, after not hearing it for many years, and my disappointment in it was just as pronounced as it was when it was first released. I'm not one of those "they were major label sellouts" kind of guys, because

Really like the album, but, at 70 minutes, the fatigue really sets in on one sitting. Still, good stuff, and refreshingly short of the usual simpering naval gazing bullshit still so prevalent today.

This was her last film in the contract, she's done with the series thankfully (as a fan of her, it'll be nice to see her in something that isn't just more franchise shit ), so I'm certain the producers all made sure to get as much out of her as they can in this one.

Yeah, she was the biggest new star in the biz at the moment, particularly after "Pretty Woman", which was the whole gimmick behind her name always being thrown around. Also why they had Bruce Willis save her at the end. She was a real big deal.

I want to say it was this movie where he met, then later married, Julia Roberts. Which, in hindsight, is still one of the weirder things to happen in the show biz 90s
