The budget for this show has been cut so much that their music budget consists of crumpled dollar bills found at the bottom of the dryer.

It's not snobbish to think that way.  Chuck is nowhere near as good as any of those shows.
But while the episodes work in a stand alone context, it's not one of those network shows that doesn't build at all.  It's very much a character driven show that builds up over the years.

Yes, season 2 is one of my favorite television seasons ever.

Chuck's shown a lot of improvement since last season.  It's still low stakes and totally mindless, but more entertainingly show.  Oh, and Yvonne Strahovski is naked in the promo for this episode so yeah

I saw one of their shows, they are very good

shut the fuck up and laugh at the funny joke.

It's a sketch show, so they might work?

I tweeted Todd about it last night and he seemed to think it was too generic to be sure, but this review was posted at the perfect time and had everything that he was talking about on it. I think this was it.

"Hey guys, I'm gonna troll ya!  Watch out!"

that's one of my top 5 words

Sung Tongs is my favorite, but I think Feels is in the same vain

the best part about the giant soda is that you can get a free refill on the way out!  you'll have to pee for hours!

I like to see films at 1 am on Tuesdays.  Good crowd.

I assume most of your review talks about the emotions of Danse Manatee.

Will there be douchebags who can't admit that music they don't like might be good?  For sure!

At least judging from the live show, this record might have some of that.

Alphas pilot lost me too, then I went back later and it got lots better.

It's going to be more Feels like, in that it's performed by a band rather than by a bunch of samplers yet still does not sound anything like Feels.

The only reason I could think of is that they didn't want to burn a bridge with the Eureka people for canceling their show.

Ah, but Syfy is going for a brand identity of overall triteness, so when Alphas started to develop into a mature and intelligent show with a strong critical reputation, they fired Ira Steven Behr and replaced him with the guy from Eureka.
