The New World Blu-Ray extended edition is one of my favorite films ever. It evokes as strong a sense of place as anything I've seen, and it's emotional high notes are completely earned. The cinematography is constantly beautiful. I'm not a completely devoted Malick lover; I didn't like Thin Red Line, but this and The

Or maybe we can call them both brilliant and stop trying to put one over the other.

Plummer is behaving like a diva here. He got his paycheck, Malick can do whatever he wants with his performance. If it gets cut out completely, that's tough, but he shouldn't go and complain about it like this. The only thing that matters is the end product, not however much screentime the "big names" get.

It was a beautiful, passionate movie about real experiences, not pretentious. It came from the heart.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that. Nice catch. I loved that scene.

For any of it's flaws, it's the best show on TV right now that's not Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. I love The Walking Dead, but action means little without build up, and Boardwalk does build up masterfully. Going into the S3 finale, I feel similarly fired up to how I did with the last two episodes of The Sopranos.

Agreed. I've hated her since the the S3 premiere, just a really one note character in a show full of fantastic and well-rounded ones. Though she's nowhere near as bad as Lori in S2. *shudder*

Yes, his girlfriend is incredibly hot. If he got her for being himself, good for him, but I suspect he only got her because he's… Chris Hardwick.

Typo. You're all my friends. :)

Talking Dead is just the worst. If I want to talk about the episode, I'll do it on here or with friends. Watching other people talk about it just because they're famous is completely stupid.
