The timing for jumping into that animation was perfect, after all that buildup of tension where only Walter's could save the day.

@avclub-61938d93498e7f0ed5e6527b1cee656a:disqus Having watched Jackson as a Royal, you have a point. I think his baseball career is defined by some incredibly talented athlete doing superhuman things, but not able to polish his game before the injury.

The way the show had Jill Scott play her role was frustratingly vague, and I could see where the foreshadowing was going to with Olivia's application of what she learned in Fitchsburg, but holy hell, that closing scene between Olivia and Peter at the end was awesome.

I generally like this show, but tonight just kind of spun its wheels on its way to the COTW conclusion.

…was awesome tonight. Too bad the rest of the episode was a misstep.

My response is a paraphrase of what Westerberg once said about the comparisons with "fast guitar" music of the time: lots of those bands could make music loud and fast, but they couldn't make a song like "Swingin' Party".

I thought this was one of the stronger episodes. The show is developing some deep background on the main characters, which gives it some flexibility on how their stories play out. It would be a shame if the cutback of episodes signals a short life for the show.

Lots of exposition tonight by monologue about characters talking about themselves. Not a big fan of this. But the last five minutes were, in fact, great. Great Bowie cover of a Nirvana song. (Don't make me put in a smiley.)
"Five-twenty-ten"? I didn't do my homework watching interviews for this episode, but…

First of all, Limbaugh doesn't make those jokes - you don't even have to listen to his show to know this, because any perceived (or even fake) racial comments make their way immediately to the media.

I get what you're saying, but just imagine if Rush Limbaugh had made any of the before-mentioned jokes.
