Norman Spinrad's The Iron Dream. It's a fantastic novel that's terrifyingly relevant with regard to current sci-fi and politics.

I feel like I need to re-watch Clean, Shaven as well. Though from what I remember, that film conveyed schizophrenia in a much more jarring fashion. Legion, in contrast, is a beautiful, almost contemplative series.
