Whenever I go to a used bookstore, I buy any NYRB I can find. I didn't like Gadda's That Awful Mess on the Via Merulana but I'm glad I read it. In fact, I've never been unhappy I've read one of their books and I've discovered a lot of authors or books I never would have otherwise.

From my experience, every book published by the New York Review of Books is well-worth reading. They're also the only books I might buy just for how they look. Glad this is no exception.
