Maybe I'm insane, but even though racism was always still hugely rampant, it did seem like I personally dealt with less blatant, overt racists during Obama's presidency. Like, they tried to cool it a little bit, at least in public. And then it's like they've all come back out of hiding during the Trump campaign. If

There's a lot of problems with Skull, but I wouldn't say Lucas was one of them. The alien thing was an inspired idea that could have totally worked. The issue was the screenplay, so the fact that the same guy is returning is pretty concerning to me.

The fact that you call it that tells me you're not ready

Did you watch the trailer? The dude is using what looks exactly like an Xbox Controller.

Seems like every big, critically acclaimed game gets backlash within a year these days, but it's especially unfortunate for MGSV, which is one of my favorite games of the past few years. Kojima kept trying to back away from the franchise, but he was always pulled back in. And I like that he refused to make the same

I watched it for the first time a couple years ago. The middle of Season 2 is pretty dire, but it really came together in the end. So, to anyone watching it for the first time: stick with it. The bad episodes are so bad they're good, and the ending is brilliant.

I disagree with that. The only reason people hate on the elaborate "so many things going on" scenery is that people feel it came at the expense of character development. If the PT had characters as good as the OT, it would be considered just as good, but with cooler planets. There's no reason why I couldn't have

You really think this is that kind of story? It looks to have the exact same kind of setup as A New Hope. A simple "assemble a team, stop the bad guys" story with a strong cast of characters and eye candy.

I don't think it's "only allowed" to tell basic stories, but I wouldn't go into a Star Wars movie expecting something complex. Even the prequels had the political drama in the background. The main story was your basic tragedy, seeing the rise and downfall of a guy with potential for greatness.

Yeah, Whitaker's character is from the Clone Wars cartoon, so they'll probably tie it all together.

Vader comes in the round-table room and says, "Guys, I know I say it every day but I'll say it again: sand is just the best."

I thought it was funny that Abrams was so anti-prequel and then gave Rey the exact same origin as Anakin (impoverished force-sensitive kid on a desert planet who works for a junkyard owner with a cartoonish accent and happens to be an incredible pilot)

Star Wars is all about basic stories, so I wouldn't expect anything else. I'm worried about the Vader thing too. But the movie's about stealing the plans to the Death Star; it'd almost be weird if he *didn't* make a cameo.

I loved Force Awakens, but my one problem with it was the lack of any new planets/environments (forest, desert, snow). That was always one of the big thrills of Star Wars: seeing new worlds. Looks like Rogue One is going to fill that void.

Good point. I think they tried to go a different direction than Marvel, and focus on the heroes as these Gods. And that is one aspect of Superman. But the stuff that I really like about Superman is, like in the new comics, just seeing him be a good dad, working on a farm. It's why the Raimi Spider-Man movies are still

I think it at least told a complete story that felt very much like a graphic novel. Weirdly, the extended cut has more levity (and seeing Clark Kent as an intrepid reporter gave it a bit more optimism). It still needed more Superman, though, for sure. I like that Snyder tried to make something different, even if it

I enjoyed John Mulaney's description of Trump as a homeless person's cartoonish fantasy of what it'd be like to be rich.

No matter what you think of BvS, Gal Gadot kicked ass as Wonder Woman and had a fist-pump worthy theme song, at least. I'm excited to see what Jenkins does with the character.

(I…thought it sort of did)
