Yeshh sorry once again I forgot to keep track of this thread. I will read through the comments tomorrow and post some thoughts on the finale. Which I love.

Well I've just watched it. What's ultimately frustrating is I think without the twist, this could have very well been the best on-screen representation of the characters I've ever seen. The dialogue between Holmes and Watson was spot on, as perfect as anything the show has done. The period setting was well executed

I agree with the general consensus that be show has become too self-referential, but other than that, it was damn fine television. I think a good bit of the hate comes from the fact that it is so effusively loved by young people, which irritates people. I also think the showrunner, Moffat, is hated by a lot of people,

Maybe I'm crazy but I could have sworn that bullet *was* mentioned in the documentary. And those phone records he's talking about have been revealed on reddit. They don't necessarily implicate Avery.

1. Completely agree. The one female reporter who kind of looks like Rashida Jones in particular asked some fantastic questions.

I'm not sure I understand your post. Sounds like you have a personal connection to the case?

But see, this is what I don't get. The defense, I think, made it very clear that they're not asserting that the cops were involved with the murder. But they needed to make it more clear that Lenk (and the other guy whose name escapes me) had plausible motivation to plant evidence. That the police jumped to a

I think you're right, but that's not what I'm saying. I was unclear. I mean motive *for planting evidence*. I find it hard to believe the cops had her killed.

WHY AREN'T THERE MORE COMMENTS HERE?

This is to say nothing of Lenk's HUGE screw-up where he strongly inadvertently suggested that he had access to the car two days before he sent the APB on the "missing" vehicle.

That was absolute insanity. I felt like the defense and prosecution were both shockingly liberal in their interjections, because that guy said so many things that were blatantly inflammatory, contradictory or false.

Why? Just skip past the songs and listen to the scenes.

How the fuck did that not make a bigger impact? That was literally out of a Grisham novel. That should have been drilled into the jury's heads at every opportunity but it didn't feel like it was really followed up on in the trial that much.

This is pretty significant stuff, thanks!
Serial is similar in that there were more arguments against the defendant than the show let on, however in both cases I do feel like the prosecution had an over-all thin case that they stacked against one easy suspect.

When Girl Voice said that thing about reasonable doubt I practically spat at my television.

It was hard for me to tell which points didn't come up again *in the documentary* due to time constraints, and which points didn't come up again in court. Because I thought the same thing about the key *only* having Avery's DNA and the deleted voice mails. I also couldn't believe we didn't see his fiance's phone

Thanks for posting this! I knew TAL did a show on this but I couldn't find the episode.

I am so goddam furious right now. I'm on episode 6, and I'm going to finish it, but it's clear where this is heading.

I am fucking furious right now. How is our country not in an uproar over this?

She just didn't have stage presence. She had a real bored walk.
