I've written articles about it in the past, but I think stripped of nostalgia, one's preference of 2D Mario really comes down personal preference. Objectively speaking, having just played through Super Mario Bros. 3, I couldn't say that the level design is better than New Super Mario Bros, which I'm playing now. I

"You know, we play adversaries, and normally I don’t think civilians would think of what we do sometimes as being necessarily fun, but that especially is fun."
Hang on a second. Did he just call *people* "civilians?"

I can only assume there will be DLC (and I hope so because frankly I think Nintendo has been knocking out of the park with their DLC for Kart, Smash and Splatoon) and I hope beyond hope that one of those updates inclues checkpoints.
My second biggest hope?
Slopes. I want to make a slide level, dammit!

If you're ignorant of history like me, yes!

…you just wrinkled my brain.

It has to be the darkest world in a Mario game I've ever played. But man, that last level and Bowser fight were cake walks. Kind of like a victory lap for going through the hell that came before it.

Well they didn't study ME!

The thing that really bugs me (and this has been a more recent trend with dramas like this) is they showed the entire movie IN THE TRAILER. The entire movie. They even showed the character motivations for why they wanted to climb Everest in the first place. They definitely should not have showed them reaching the top

I've been playing offline. Playing in online-mode makes the loading way slower all-around, and frankly the idea of having people come in and steal my soldiers is not even remotely appealing. So I haven't touched FOB missions yet. Too scared.

I got that "orgy of enemies" thing out of my system early, and made a completely ridiculous Castle level with dozens of thwomps and Bowsers filling the screen. But I always really try to make my levels way easier than they seem. Even in my Enemy Hell level, I tried to place the enemies in such a way that there's

I gave up on Peace Walker. I tried to complete it before MGSV came out. The story got super interesting, I enjoyed the Mother Base stuff, and of course the stealth was super solid (especially I liked Dr. Strangelove, who is a pretty fascinating character and provides some intriguing details about The Boss) but I hit a

The Wii U's library is stacked. If you're a fan of platformers, holy hell is it a gold mine.

Yeah, that's a cool move on his part. Since it had a firm release date and not just "Holiday 2015" I believe him when he says they could technically release it. But as a fan of the series, I'd much rather they take their time and make it the best it can be rather than dump it out there and release a bunch of patches.

I've made a couple Mario Maker levels that I'm reasonably proud of, but they're not *this* good. Nice work, guys!
This weekend I'm going to continue my sojourn through all the 2D Marios. I BEAT SUPER MARIO BROS. 3 LAST NIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME! I was never able to get past World 8 as a kid. Or adult. So, shout-out to

On the other hand, apparently there's a new Mario Tennis game coming out in a couple months, which I had no idea existed. So that was a nice surprise!
But yeah, StarFox looked cool, but pretty rough around the edges. I'm glad Nintendo puts quality in their core IPs above all else. This is the first console StarFox

It's pretty hard to take Depp's makeup seriously. It looks ridiculous.

Oof! You're right, the coin thing is so obvious, but I totally missed it.
Well, I foresaw that Coin was a "bad guy," but the whole conversation between Snow and Katniss at the end is what I was referring to; how really, her revolution was not all that different from his.

See? This proves that Man of Steel was a great movie.

Can can
Can you do the can one?
Can you do the can one?
Blah blah blah blah blah

I liked the part with the black goo. And I liked the twist ending, which was surprisingly deep for a YA novel. But in general the pacing in that last book was just all over the place.
