That's…odd. I liked that Jackson did what the book did: starting off as a simple children's adventure and building to an epic, kind of dark, tragedy (mostly Thorin's arc). But it was still all very child-like. Even the Desolation of Smaug had a more whimsical feel than the Lord of the Rings, with the barrel sequence,

I just thought he was a cool-looking robot dude and that was all the info I needed.

"Ren is a title similar to the way Darth is with the Sith."
I was about to complain that Ren sounds stupid, but now that I see it in writing Darth is pretty dumb-sounding too.

My attempts to avoid any further spoilers and trailers were in vain.

Old Lady Yells at Mall

I get that a lot. For some reason the idea of someone being delighted in their car is surprising to people.
And yeah. Total crush on Gourley.

The Shape of Things to Come is a very good episode. This is the one where we see Jack in "dad" mode to Aaron, right? Because that was a heartbreaker. "Am I…good at this?" Evangeline Lilly's acting in that scene is so good. Reassuring him that he's good at this through tears. He could have been a great dad, but he

"It's really cool to see Richard Alpert in these sequences, talking to a young John about being "special". I still find it interesting that Alpert was so upset to see Locke take the knife; Skull Kid, maybe you have a good theory on that?"

Hey, I was on vacation for a week or so, so I've been out. But yes! I want to discuss! Because I just finished The End on Friday. So many feels.

I'm not sure what kind of job this is, internet. I'm just not sure.

"He and Monica are then detained by airport security and it’s basically the whole thing that was done much better in Meet The Parents (a sentence rarely typed). "
Wait a minute, am I not supposed to like Meet the Parents?

I love how they always call out the way trailers are cut. People reacting to things that clearly have nothing to do with anything. Like the guy saying "OOH!!" for no reason in the Don Jon trailer.

Well, the first week of Howl is free. So just listen to them and move on. That's what I'm probably going to do.
Pistol Shrimps rocks.

I did like that one a lot.
Fuck, I don't know. Maybe I just need to give it another shot. I was kind of "meh" on Spontaneanation for awhile, but I realized I just hadn't been listening to it in the right setting. It requires more attention than I thought it would, like I4H.

It's not so much as a critique as my gut reaction to it. It's not bad. Not at all. It just doesn't hold my attention for whatever reason. I don't have any legitimate criticisms to offer Parham and St Claire. They're fantastic. But for some reason the podcast doesn't click with me. I don't know. Maybe I just haven't

I thought Paul Rudd was Plant Man?(Boo, I know)

Considering cum comes out way slower than pee, isn't the better question, "What happens when Superman takes a piss?" I mean, it would definitely blow up a building, right? And what about explosive diarrhea? Or projectile vomiting?
This Batman vs. Superman movie better give us some answers.

He definitely comes across as a douche, but it's on purpose. For the best example of it, listen to his appearance on Hollywood Handbook. He doesn't play along with any of it, but it only makes it more funny.

I hope there is, because I love these characters when they're on CBB, but when they're on their own? It just doesn't work. I don't know why, but I can't make it through an episode of their podcast. Aukerman's interplay with them was so essential, and without it, it rarely gets off the ground. They just keep repeating

Listen to the episodes of Improv4Humans he's been on. He's a great improviser. I don't recall him ever derailing a scene.
