Plus, you don't want to relive your brother beating you.

"(It’s the most bafflingly inappropriate bit of superhero backstory since that part in Man Of Steel where Pa Kent tells an adolescent Clark that he maybe should have let a busload of children drown.)"
You know, this didn't strike me as inappropriate. I liked that they were going for a Watchman-like thing of fearing how

" a talking pile of stones."
Hey! Are you poppin' my stones, Dowd?

I'm always glad to hear when someone loves School of Rock as much as I do.

When you say anti-comedy do you mean antithetical to comedy?

Really wish they would have asked 2 things:
1. Why the fuck they didn't push Invisible, as it's by FAR the best single they've had in forever
2. If they ever thought about calling Pop 'Poop'

are you talking about the U2 album Pops?

This is like Analyze Phish, yet somehow even better. And there's way more 'sodes (episodes)

I'm sorry that someone is forcing you to listen to this podcast that you hate, and making you post your opinions about it.

To put out the rare perspective:
I'm a HUGE U2 fan—I own all their albums and listen to them all the time—and also think this podcast is truly the best.
Maybe it's just me, but for me? If you don't find this shit funny then YOU'RE shit. As in, the brown-town that comes out of my little butt!

Have you tried upping the reverb?

U Talkin' U2 to U2 and me?

"I learned that Scott is kind of an asshole."
"I learned that about myself as well!"

"I for one hope that Darlton don’t leave Libby hanging, but do we really need, say, a Black Rock flashback?"
Ah, the irony of hindsight.

That's a dumb comparison. Nobody is saying the Beatles are highly influential of club music. That's an incredibly niche genre, though. Their influence on pop and alternative rock is more palpable now than ever.

Why do you think that the opposite of things are the right things?

You say that like it's an insult, but I find milk and toast to be one of the most delicious combinations of foods ever.

I don't think The Beatles called it a concept album. They started out thinking it might be, but abandoned it except for two songs. Critics are the ones that have labeled it as such, and only in hindsight.

I'll concede that it's not their best album—not even close, frankly—but there's a difference between saying "it's not my thing," or "it's not my favorite" and calling something rubbish. It objectively isn't. It's one of the most influential records of all time; no matter what you think, it's massively important.
It's

"The problem with the Beatles is that they really didn't have a significant influence on music in coming decades"
Right, except the opposite.
