I just don't see it that way. It's hard to know what her original intention was (I suspect what we have in the final product is the result of Lee returning to her original draft, Watchman, but not completing it, leaving a kind of hodgepodge) but it's more like…a story set within the same world, with the same

I named my kid Walter White after I saw the first ten minutes of Breaking Bad. Boy, is my face red.

I'd recommend it. It's not without its flaws, but it's a very pleasant read. As a big fan of TKAM myself I was incredibly skeptical, but I found Watchman delightful for the most part.

Anyone who can trek through a jungle and fight dinosaurs in high heels is a badass.

And the kids in Jurassic World in particular kinda sucked. I would't go out of my way to get to know them either.

Interesting! I hadn't really considered his race as being in any way important to the character, and I found the "backlash" toward Cumberbatch playing Khan to be strange (I, for one, was just glad to see an actor that didn't wear offensively terrible plastic abs). But this gives me a new context to place it in. Thanks.

Agreed; I think if they're really wanting to get back to the feel of the original trilogy, they need to keep it simple.
If they found a way to bring back Darth Maul, though…that would be kinda cool.

The purpose of his character was to be "ethnic"?

Maybe he'll finally get to use his Anna Ferriswheel and Chris Pinetree joke.

In front the academy show crowd?

You should apologize if you find the…time…

Let's count them down from one!

Has anyone talked about the fact that, stripped of the controversy surrounding the release of the book, this book is actually…a good read? The pacing is kind of all over the place, but the writing is pretty beautiful, for the most part.

Is this an episode of The Almighty Daugher?

Man, that's some bullshit that Birthday Boys wasn't nominated. That's one of the best sketch shows of the past decade, especially Season 2.
Also, I guess Comedy Bang! Bang! isn't specifically a sketch show, but I feel like it deserves a nod. That sketch they did about a film about Scott Aukerman written and directed

1. People aren't irritated with the very idea of Wilco, whereas many are with U2.
…end of list.

Maybe I just like the cover art…

Was issue 1 any good? I love the art, but the concept feels so silly…

This sounds like what I need. I've tried getting into X-Men but it's just so dense; I only have a passing knowledge of the characters from the movies.

Brian Bendis' Ultimate Spider-Man run is what really got me into comics; if you're into John Hughes-style high-school drama, it's fantastic.
And it's cliche, but Watchmen really is an absolute masterpiece.
