I picked it up, about half way through now. I mostly got it because the show was annoying me and I heard the book was pretty good.

What, you don't cross your hands over your crotch and shake them violently when you're having a seizure? Maybe I don't have epilepsy after all.
@avclub-8c1bbcea199457b63dc39f7a024591f1:disqus I loved the shots later on in the hospital when Barbie was interrogating that other guy down the hall from what was clearly an emergency exit.
I came to this city expecting a sharkopolis, instead I find more of a sharkocalypse.
No, they were having a laugh.
@avclub-3c23902822283144c09d87f123545c87:disqus " I wouldn't consider even my prejudiced black neighborhood watchman killing the white kid a crime"
He had a flashlight, it exploded when he got to the dome. I was more concerned at how the reporter thought she could sneak behind someone through miles of dark, scary tunnels and not give the kid a heart attack/get beaten to death when she finally starts talking to him.
I prefer "Telly"
What was up with that trig stuff anyway? At first I thought he was going to try to find the center of the dome, which seemed like a good idea, but then they just kinda walked around the circumference. If they wanted to figure out the border, couldn't they have just asked the cops where the roads were blocked?
A seive? You mean like a strainer?
I may need to rethink my zombie bunker plans…
@avclub-3c6dfb3da240d50534add0b863afe0ab:disqus For a week or three in July/August, yeah.
Ohmigosh, look at us, "commenting" on a "forum." Ahaha, "witty observation," "sarcastic reply." Eheheh, "Dawes of cock".
What, has Obama started snapping dudes necks?
Only if it's a lady journalist.
The baby machine wasn't part of anyone's plans. Neither Jor El nor Zod seemed to be looking for it. Zod found it and seemed to think, "Hey cool, I can always use on of those". Frankly, I have no idea what Jor El's plan was with respect to the Codex. And why don't the Kryptonians back up their data?
@avclub-d79fa794d2ffeca1aa8ed6c1b6a05bbd:disqus That could be interesting, if Lex was watching the fightwith a "burn baby burn" type of attitude. At least it would make more sense than building a new continent or sinking the west coast = profit.
But Superman doesn't make Metropolis his home until the last few minutes of the movie. And after practically burning it to the ground during his fight with the Kryptons, Luthor now has a pretty believable beef against him. I can see the 2nd movie working out well.
I thought he looked a lot like Walt Jr to me, kept expecting him to order up some pancakes.
I was really confused by that. It looked like the plane was coming towards them from the outside, but my wife thought it was going the other way.
