The Jerky Boys movie soundtrack was pretty great. That was the first time I ever heard Superchunk.

Oh, I thought you meant THIS Cavity.
Unless there's a problem with my e-book version, what I found most annoying about this book was the complete lack of descriptions by people's names. Who are these people? Most of the actors I recognized but it was a mystery trying to figure out who everyone else was and what their roles were (and I wasn't about to…
But..but.."Boys and Buses?!!" Mother f'ing "Boys and Buses??!!" Denied!
I've never heard Kylesa but from the looks of them, I'm guessing the only thing separating what they do from what Nickelback does is that Nickelback has better production.
I was impressed that this is first 3d movie I've seen in a long time that actually makes use of what the 3d camera can do. I agree that seeing this movie in 2d is pretty pointless. But, yes, not much story, obvious nods to 2001 (Sandra Bullock floating around in her underwear in a fetal position like the space baby),…
"because as everyone knows, punk died in 1977. Or 1979. Or 1984. Or 1989. After all, there hasn’t been a legitimate punk band since Minor Threat, or the Dead Kennedys, or another band beloved by some loudmouth who stopped paying attention two decades ago."
The most recent example of this was the Riot Fest Chicago…
I'm still waiting to be impressed by the amazing drummer everyone says Travis Barker is. I think Blink's old drummer (guy who played on Dude Ranch) is a million times better. Holding a steady 2/4 beat is much harder than it looks. Blink's songs noticeably slowed down when Travis joined.
So now we know who "Batdance" is really about.
I saw one of their videos recently and watched the whole thing mainly because I thought it was a new Hanson video and was thinking "how did Hanson get back into video rotation? Are they still around? Have they been gone long enough that people can appreciate them with ironic glee? Or have they Flaming Lips'd…
With all the country music connections, I've also been thnking about odd parallels in the series to "Pancho and Lefty" Walt is Pancho (fast car, causing trouble for Lefty, died in Mexico (sorta) and Jesse is Lefty (shell of his former self, living in a shithole, took off and no one knows where he is, etc.) but then…
Since Jason and Josh have taken over more of the chief editing duties at the AV Club, it's nice to see hardcore, punk, and metal get its due alongside whatever sweater based acoustic dude and incendiary rap album we're supposed to like at the moment in order to be "with it" - not just stuck in what used to be the Loud…
All I want from the finale is a panning shot of the crowd at Hank's funeral where we see all his co-workers, including some outside agency people that he dealt with from DC and so forth, and for a second, just for a second, Scully and Mulder are shown crying. You owe us Vince!!
Outside of Gail (and who's to say he wasn't puffing on some doobage?), everyone shown using drugs at one point or another on this show that we've come back to has ridden the pipe pretty hard. Jane - choked to death, Andrea - shot in the head, Jesse - life ruined many times over. Skyler will probably lose some fingers…
For all the talk of this show making drug dealing look cool, Breaking Bad sure comes down hard on former and current substance abusers with a psychotic, sadistic Nancy Reagan-esque sense of morality. Drug users in horror movies fare better than in BB. You use, you lose! I'm sure Badger and Skinny Pete will be shown…
Jesse inflates Todd's suit. Floats him into the sun. Icarus, bitch!
Ted is still out there with knowledge that Skylar has some shady money business, right? He was facing down jail time if I recall. Surprise witness?
Fanboys or not, this show is undeniable. I hate and nit-pick everything yet I've only called bullshit on this show twice (the scene where Gus gets Spider-Sense about the bomb under his car and Walt leaving Gale's signed Leaves of Grass right on the toilet ((this from a guy who hides a tiny bottle of Ricin behind an…
This was the best episode of the series. Part of me wishes it was the finale. Even with all the loose ends . I guess the next two episodes will see Walt going John Rambo on the aryans seeing as he's lost everything, and avenging Hank acting as the one thing most likely keping walt from offing himself. I'll enjoy…
No doubt. I think his best solo song is "Stain yer Blood" which is on the Friends soundtrack or something equally insane.
