The great thing about Andy's character in the golden days was how subtly they characterized him. They didn't ever come out and say "ANDY IS A TRUST FUND BABY WHO DISAPPOINTED HIS PARENTS;" they let us pick up on his backstory from the little pieces of him we see organically.
