she did have a certain understanding of what her sister may of gone through in the weeks before her death, but what if the truth was…..much much worse?

I don't think it was a shot at the unions as such, more his way of saying, "if you don't fix this, I'm going to go over your head on this". And in the police force, that means going to the union I suppose. I didn't read it as him using the union out of spite at all. He's a good cop who respects Gregson but is…
Fair enough. Don't worry though, I'm sure she'll be back, especially as she was mentioned last episode. Even if it is just once or twice a season, at least it'll be in a proper guest role rather than a quick cameo. Stay strong!
Yeah I was being polite to a comment that was simply wrong, and I don't say that lightly.
Actually, Artificial insemination is illegal in thoroughbred racing, for a few reasons I'm sure, but mostly because it would destroy the entire thoroughbred breeding industry which is worth a huge amount of money
ok I hear you. Personally I'm ok with it, given the actress is pretty well known it you can't just have her vacuuming in the background once every couple of weeks. They'll bring her back when she is written into a story I suppose
She is at the place where she lives. Or somewhere else. She only comes round to clean once a week.
Sherlock is scared of losing Joan, which is why he seems to get jealous of her going out with other men. It's alluded to in literally every episode this season, including this one (for a long time, there was only one poultice for my mad nerve ending and that was erm… copious drug use).
It's certainly crossed my mind. Don't forget though that the writers have a knack of subverting our expectations with these sorts of things. At the very least, he might not be all that he seems
I don't think so. I think Sherlock was just trying to bait Joan into a response in that bit in the London episode, and just like the car scene in this episode, Joan completely ignored him. Mycroft is not Sherlock
I loved the silence in the car as Sherlock tries to bait them. They both know him well enough to just ignore him. Like the grown-ups in the front seat on a long drive with a petulant child in the back.
I cracked up immediately when he started poking the covers on that side of the bed. And yes, now that you mention it, I would love to see a supercut of Sherlock waking Joan
I loved this episode so much! And the character stuff was back to it's best as well (i.e. perfect. Not a single reaction out of place, not even a hint of melodrama, just…..brilliant).
not so secret now :)
Maybe you had to be there.
I think the problem with PDN's reviews were a combination of not understanding what early SP was going for, not fully understanding what later SP was all about, believing that Matt and Trey had some kind of political agenda and all the while wearing his own political beliefs on his sleeve. That doesn't justify a lot…
The purple one
It's not too long because it is extraordinarily well written. The analysis and the arguments made are actually very concise. I'm going to watch this movie now, even though i'd always assumed it was shit (i remember seeing 15 minutes or so of it when it was on TV sometime last century). And now I can go watch it and be…
