AAARRRGHHH…..it's not a liquid  - it's many pieces of solid matter that form a hard, floor-like surface!!

they got married at the end of S2

The Aussie version was on SBS (equivalent to PBS in america) and was even more offbeat and weird than this version. It also didn't have the overarching mystery of what wilfred was and why the main character could see him.

"Dany’s one of the few uncomplicatedly “rootable” characters left"
I think it could get complicated afterwards, but yes, who wouldn't want to root Dany?

@avclub-465f9232025978f8fd01ce1a0156be61:disqus I didn't know i'd made a new word until i googled it - glad someone noticed!

I think that's kind of the point though. Most of the people trashing Sherlock or Steven Moffat here used to start their comments "I really like Sherlock but…" and they probably still do love both shows, but have stopped qualifying their comments for a few reasons:

and with Moriarty's resources she should be able to make a billion before breakfast. Nothing like a good old-fashioned case of murdertrage

Actually, assuming the price at which Macedonia would enter the Euro had yet to be decided and a relatively free-floating currency, Moriarty should have shorted the shit out of the Macedonian currency (Denar) and Macedonian stocks, because torpedoing their chances of becoming full members of the EU and is a net

They should rename the show Elementary > Sherlock for season two

Fuck Moffat!! Fuck him right in the earhole!!!!

Denzel Washington wouldn't be fit to hold Edward Woodward's [name a noun]

.

accessory to murder just because he had to look at some crazy woman's vagina

Horses for courses I suppose. Cumberbatch is a great Holmes, but his dickishness would probably become grating over the course of several twenty-something episode seasons. Hence JLM's Holmes being more arrogant know-it-all (in a good way) than full-on rainman

what is the "Hip TV crowd"? That term definitely needs quotation marks around it…

Also what happened to the bee allergy lady? I had a nasty feeling after last week Sherlock was going to be framed for her murder. Thankfully it doesn't look like we're going to go down that path

I think it's a natural reaction for her mind to go there when the hard-as-nails, grizzled cop with 30 years on the force tells her he's worried about her safety - if she was a dude she might be in exactly the same amount of danger, but Gregson might not have gone to the same lengths to try get her out of harm's way,

As long as we're comparing the two shows (and it's true they are very different), I just want to add how much I love Captain Gregson and Aidan Quinn's portrayal of him, especially compared to Lestrade and Donovan in Sherlock. His reactions in The Red Team to Sherlock kidnapping Moran with the intention of torturing

Also, i'm guessing Sherlock would have immediately recognised the paintings as Irene's work coz he's Sherlock (does anybody know which city those cityscape paintings were from?). Her being a hallucination would potentially be a bit of a jump-the-shark moment, so unless Myles knows something we don't, I can't see that

Just ignore it, it's non-diegetic….
