Gotta say, Rubber Man was always my fave.

"Now little girl, I know this is a very difficult decis—"
"Mom."

The animation of Moe in that moment is so perfect.  He doesn't get that many opportunities to do righteous anger.

The Lady Wallflower is an extreme perfectionist, so I was so glad to introduce this line to her.

"Bart’s Comic" and "Bart should find his own comic"—spell check to the wrong word, never not funny.

"There never was a Jason."

Aw thanks.  I'm gonna wait until these reviews start up again, for the reasons @avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus suggested.  I'm considering (as Sophist famously did with his now-deleted Buffy posts) putting these all on a blog somewhere; I'll drop a note somewhere if I do that.

Thank you.  I will be commenting to the end of the series (including season 7), although we're all on hold now until Mr. Nowalk starts up season 4.  And yes, probably the most fundamental element of The Shield's greatness is holding to the simple rule that "actions have consequences."

I'm not laughing, that's a totally cool choice.  He's got the 40s/50s crooner style down perfectly, and that is not an easy thing to do.

Line?

Art Pepper is amazing, and not heard of enough; Duke Ellingtons longer suites need hearing ("Black, Brown, and Beige" and "The Queen's Suite" in particular); the 1950s 5-LP/3-CD Riverside History of Classic Jazz gives a great and unique sense of the origins of jazz.

That's way cool!  We'll have to find out if this behavior continues in later life.

@avclub-816e95da7db789c282734ce996e52e05:disqus : remember, though, all season 3 is consequence from the money train robbery.  It's why I stick with the three-act breakdown for the series—1-2/3,4,5/6-7.

Yeah, Special Bulletin scared the shit out of the young me; they did a great job both with the framing device as a critique and telling an intense story.

If there's an overall answer to this on The Shield, it's
