"Breast cancer, huh?  Sweeeeet."

@avclub-f121d09285898f1c66d66f1e6f0455a6:disqus :  You'll love it.  Jackman and Rachel Weisz take what could be something sterile and intellectual and give it so much heart.

Yeah, I am so on board for Nebraska now. Payne is so damn good at finding things in actors nobody else does. I can't imagine anybody else saying "the guy from Wings! The one who's just about to retire to his cattle ranch! That's the one I want" and make it work so well.

That first season of Prison Break was pulp with everyone absolutely committing to it. And Keach was great. I still enjoy it.

My guess is that most people are just not that original in their thoughts. We grow up living in a culture, so our thoughts and ideas come from there; most people, when they have a "deeply personal" idea, are having an idea that's already been around and used for a hundred years or so.

I had the T-shirt. And my college dorm posters were Kate Bush's "Hounds of Love" (the single, not the album) and the full menu from DB Kaplan's Delicatessen.

There was a prequel, Skagboys. It wasn't good.

"You understand what I have to do to you."

In honor of its 15th anniversary, I threw on The Big Lebowski for me and the Lady Wallflower. We've been throwing quotes at each other all weekend.

This ties with The Fountain as my favorite Hugh Jackman performance; what's so good about this one is how effectively he plays in-way-over-his-head, and his natural warmth is in perfect contrast to Bale's obsessiveness.

Thanks!  The first post was aimed at newbies.  The pilot absolutely did hook me, but coming back and rewatching it, I can see how a lot of people might just see it as shock for the sake of shock.  Thing is, more than any other show, The Shield is way better than its pilot, because the power of the show depends on

I sensed there would be mail there.

Also, given how detailed Vic's confession likely was (he used Shane's written confessions as a guide), there would be the opportunity to go and gather physical evidence and testimony to use against Ronnie.

Hey Ned!  (punch)

I think exactly that.  And Taymor (in Titus, at least) pulls in references from multiple times, which is amazing.

Do you, James Franco, promise to love, honor, and cherish this woman for as long as this live-webcast performance art piece/academic roundtable shall last?

Oh man, those Chagalls are tasty.

Have you been to the Art Institute of Chicago?  A lot of my friends rank it even higher than the Met (so do I).  I visit every time I'm back in Chicago.

To make the merry-go-round fast so everyone needs to.  Hang on tight, just to keep from being (thrown to the wolves).
