He's putting on an act, just like a lot of rappers / rock stars. He's down with the people. After all, the fan base he appeals to is pretty anti-intellectual, and not knowing shit / not giving a damn in some circles is the way to prove you're cool. Not that I think he is hiding a genius IQ under that generous bushel.
