UYD 4 Life!
UYD 4 Life!
Why are all the year-end TV lists sleeping on Silicon Valley? I can't wait for new episodes!
"Bang Bang" is one of the most infectious pop songs of the year, for sure. I liked the live performance clip with Lorde and Taylor Swift singing along. I'm also a fan of that Mark Ronson / Bruno Mars song "Uptown Funk."
I'm fucking psyched, but nothing will top Helm's Deep or Pelennor Fields. "DEATH!!!!!!" Nerding out.
Am I way off base here, or is it both inappropriate and bad marketing to sell Breaking Bad collectible figures at Toys 'R Us? They're more like the type of thing I'd expect to see at a comic / collector shop like Forbidden Planet here in NYC. I mean, are kids really the target demographic for Breaking Bad? I don't…
Pearl Jam 2!
If Counting Crows is smart, I want to be stupid.
McNulty is, as he was lovingly "eulogized" on the series finale, "a gaping asshole." That's not to say that he's a bad guy. He's just so hung ho about doing his job right, that he will shit on the lawn of anyone who gets in his way of doing it, and in the process, get himself deeper and deeper in the hole. So this…
Working in institutions of various varieties, I can tell you that the serial killer thing is not nearly as unrealistic as you might think. You can tell bureaucrats anything but the truth and they'll believe you, as long as you know how to sell it. And since at least 85% of the workforce is asleep at the wheel, it's…
Yeah, she's another one who is also sincere and earnest in her delivery.
"Bang Bang" is great indeed. I am hooked. And I agree with all the comments below about Ariana Grande as well.
Love Dixie, 4AM Friday and Satiate, (especially "March.") I have great memories of seeing these guys at Wetlands and once at ABC No RIo in the mid-to-late '90s. They really stood out and their music holds up for me to this day, unlike 99.9% of hardcore/punk from that era.
What's important is that the RIAA and Lars Ulrich won the fight against Napster, ultimately leading to the demise of that company, and now, music is more profitable than ever!
When I was 5, I went to a double feature of Flash Gordon and Popeye at a kid'd birthday party. That was awesome. I also have vivid memories of the Mork episode of Happy Days….
Part of why I like this show so much is because I'm such a Mike Judge fanboy. But then again, the thought of him doing a sitcom on premium cable, unfettered by basic cable and network restrictions, hang-ups and commercials, that the show was a workplace comedy set in the tech world and that it stars such great comedic…
First LP I ever bought with my own money - I was 12, it was on vinyl and purchased at Nobody Beats the Wiz on 97th and Broadway in Money-Makin Manhattan! It was $6.99.
But I wanna get some power converters!!!
Perfect.
"Homosexuality is a hush hush topic." Hey joke, thanks for writing yourself.
Whoop Whoops.
