I don't remember when I stopped watching "Californication." It was a nice, lazy show to watch, and the premise was kinda cool, but you're dead on about the tedium. After a billion breakups, why care if Hank/hot wife get back together again? And who cares if Hank can get back to being Bret Eastin Ellis?

Is that why "Bored to Death" is getting cancelled? C'mon, make Jonathan gay already. (I don't count Louis Green as a prominent character.)

See, the premise of Homeland sounds so dull to me. But given the rave reviews, I might have to check it out.

You guys have never heard of downloading?

Never seen Weeds or Glee, but I am watching Dexter. I actually hadn't seen an episode until the beginning of this summer, and liked seasons 1 and 2. It's been a downhill slide, but if I'm bored, it's a nice break from my MSNBC drudgery.

LOL yeah the "internet protocol address" line was fabulous.

The twist is that Debra is a serial killer too. They fall in incestuous, incestuous sweet love. Like in real life.

I agree. I never understood the Lila worship among fans. She's like, a 14-year-old girl's idea of dark and mysterious.

I agree. While I never found Dexter to be excellent television, it was compelling enough to keep my interest. I think the show shot its wad too early (by season 2, we knew pretty much everything about Dexter that we know now). I actually would have liked to see Bryan Moser stick around awhile longer. For me, the

Seems like they have a pretty dysfunctional relationship. We didn't get a specific answer, but we know a) RC is a crazy sociopath and b) she propositioned Andy.

Maybe the actress was so sick of the show she doesn't feel like doing the ghost appearances.

Not saying this means anything, but Stiles has publicly said she had nothing to do with their breakup.

I liked seasons 1 and 2. Hated 3. 4 was OK. 5 seems like a goddamn masterpiece compared to 6!

(And I don't mean a crazy Lila or bad-luck Lumen.)

In retrospect, yes. She did give the show some sense of purpose, and made it at least feel like Dexter could get caught and that it would be very, very sad. Now? Nope.

It is way more enjoyable than most TV these days.

I think I remember the AV Club bashing the hell out of the original trailer. And the first few episodes. I thought it was funny but not memorable at first, but it really grew on me.

Only because they're in elementary school.

My feeling was that he doesn't consider her his sister in the same way that he doesn't consider his biological dad his real dad (especially after he thought the guy ditched him at the ballpark). He's justifying the incest to himself.

Yeah, and most people I know download the show 'cause they don't got no HBO. Often, because of the onDemand thing, anybody could access the eps a week early.
