This show was funded by the Make a Wish Foundation.

I believe it's been announced that Mannion will be MP in the new series but that Tucker, Ollie, Glen etc. will still feature as the opposition.

Cheap Bastards.

Iannucci said on twitter that they're writing it now and shooting "In a few months".

An interesting aspect of this show is that it has no American writers whatsoever, and the writing team is entirely made up of the people who did the Thick of It. I'm very interested in seeing how it turns out.

VEEP VEEP!

No, but we'll keep you posted, Jesus.

You're an old fuck for preferring the movie that was made two decades after the previous two?

I'm so depressed I can't even blink.

The scene between Dustin Hoffman and Michael Gambon is so great I've watched it three times. Can't wait to see them play off each other in future episodes.

The main reason it worked for me is that I just found the 20s sections really enchanting. I wanted to be in that world too, it made the nostalgia that drove Wilson's character easy to identify wth. Also, I found Wilson made a surprisingly great Allen substitute, he carried the thing well.

@avclub-86a9ac7667ec45a86614223897b4f765:disqus  It's undoubtedly a weird situation and presumably emotionally distressing for Farrow, but at the end of the day, two consenting adults fell in love, got married and have stayed together for over two decades, presumably making each other happy. It's no one's business

Nope, Allen never adopted Soon-yi, nor did she live with him and Farrow, nor was Allen even much of a presence in her life at all when she was a child. But don't let those actual facts get in the way of your knee-jerk reaction.

…Because he didn't fuck his daughter? Unless you mean he fucked someone else's daughter, in which case, yeah, he's guilty.

I hope this show follows the Mad Men plan and concludes in the present day, with the perspective shifting to Matthew and Mary's 90 year-old, genetically fucked up child.

Thanks, Yanks. Thyanks.

TRIAL BY STONE.

Yes, but only those three things.

I found Paradise Lost harder to take seriously after Armando Iannucci pointed out that the opening lines have the exact same rhythm as the Flinstone's theme song.
