By the way, it's just been announced that it's returning on January 1st. They screened the first episode last night and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive, one person said that it "easily" surpasses the first series. I am mega-excited.

"I paid a billion dollars for that piece of shit?"

"He took our nachos"
"That's right, Beavis. And that is a crime for which it must be punished."

So, do Americans not watch tv at christmas or what? Why do all the shows go away?

"The Wire isn't remotely realistic.  Brother Mouzone?  Hamsterdam?  Omar?  Come on."
Ok fine, uber-realistic was a bit strong, it is ultimately still a tv show and features it's fair share of plot contrivances, larger-than-life characters etc. etc. My point is that in general, The wire strives to present a world that's
