I like funny Louis CK a lot, but I also like whatever this is. Four seasons in, and my expectations are adjusted where I know I'm not going to laugh every episode.

Yeah, did he actually hire them? With what funds? You just established that you took his $20.
Yeah, I heard this a few months ago while clicking through his bits on youtube, and so I had an idea of where the story was going. He admits he's working through new material, but I figure the reason there's not a polished version of the bit out there is because it is a really dark story, and it's almost impossible to…
Great Clickbait, Internet!
I'm pretty sure another issue is the quality of the audio. Multiple frequencies are not transmitted over cell towers in order to compress data and minimize load. This doesn't seem like a big deal. Our brains are smart, and are able to understand the words being spoken anyway. However, even compared to land lines…
There's not exactly a uniform in corporate America, but "business casual" still means brown or black dress shoes. A lack of conformity is noticed and commented upon. I also got talked to once for wearing white socks with brown shoes and khaki pants instead of dark socks. Compare that to a maximum security prison where…
This is a good attempt at devil's advocate, but I think it's fine that Shawshank is an "easy" film. I love me some anti-heroes and morally complex villains, but we also need well-crafted stories of straightforward heroes and villains. This is an almost sublime example. Plus, the warden and head guard are clearly shown…
I have this argument with my sister-in-law every single damn time. Limiting the exposure to oxygen keeps it from turning brown, not the pit. Put the leftovers in the smallest container they'll fit in, smooth the top, and put foil pressed against the top in addition to the lid. You'll barely get any brown. Adding lime…
Maurice, if you're going to make me be explicit.
Bot.
Between the hurricane and the crazy guy on the subway, the phrase running through my head was, "When was the Levy's broke."
She originally ran for the Green Party's nomination, but she lost the nomination to Jill Stein, a medical doctor turned activist. That's because Jill Stein actually ran a campaign and qualified for federal matching funds. When you're a millionaire celebrity, and you get out-organized and out-fundraised by a citizen…
You know, this is a great example of what makes this show great. It's not enough for a show to be cleverly plotted, it also needs to be cleverly written. There's a lot of really nice moments throughout this show that are unnecessary from a plot perspective, but add a lot of color and detail.
I think the problem with Ainsley's death is that the audience is fairly certain that she's not the monitor before Alison kills her (let's not mince words; she killed her even if it wasn't premeditated). We're trained to look for twists, red herrings, and obvious sources of dramatic irony. Ainsley not being the monitor…
You think.
What art thou, a fucking park ranger anon?
Then why don't you MARRY an ice cream sandwich!
To me it was almost a commentary on storytelling. Louie and the other comedian (I feel bad I don't recognize him) are talking about their love life and kids, and Todd is just trolling them because he finds it boooooring. So then he launches into the most mundane story ever, but tells it in such a way that it sort of…
Barry was clearly not into it, but Seinfeld was also weirdly out of touch. Seinfeld thought it was weird that Barry was still using a laundromat and didn't have more money. He kept pointing out how little Barry had going for him and his life. Now, that was also the point of his monologue on Louie, but somehow it came…
It's also the same episode as Barney, which I love.
