Me too. I think this was the best written of the bunch. The one-sided dialogue was really genuine and funny. The only negative was the very last line. I would have preferred for him to have just gotten up and limped off.

I love all the Coen films, but c'mon, Fargo is clearly the best of all four of these films. And it really does come down to emotional connection and accessibility of the story. Jerry is introduced in the very first scene and is the default protagonist for much of the movie. Many other stories like this have us rooting…

I can't believe I'll be the first person to point this out on the AV Club, but did anyone else feel like the Paas jokes were sort of a rip-off of Patton Oswalt's standup bit from years ago?

So I missed about 6-10 episodes last season because it got so ridiculously bad. I came back this season because Greg Daniels took over from Paul/Toby as showrunner. Reading through these comments I was getting a pleasant feeling. Not the funniest, but I like where some of it's heading again.

Seriously. It's an awful premise for a television show. Children of Men could get away with the premise of an unexplained scientific phenomenon because it was basically a McGuffin to depict a police-state run amok combined with a situation that provides an emotional sucker punch to our biological impulses (read: we…

Am I dating myself by saying that about the only thing I know her from is Home Alone? Obviously she's in the Christopher Guest movies, but even then I always think, "Hey, it's the mom from Home Alone." I forgot that she played Funkhouser's sister.
