On the one hand, I'm tempted to offer this big defense on Eureka. On the other hand, I think we're all a little too quick to oversell the merits of decent shows, to the point that we kind of lose track of truly exceptional stuff*, so I'll just say this: Eureka was definitely formulaic, but it varied its formula a bit

I think it's probably true that Norton is trying to make a point. I just don't find a lot of nuance or complexity to his point beyond "Comedy requires us to be able to say whatever we want whenever we want or else freedom dies" — and yeah, I know that's a super uncharitable way of characterizing it, but I think you

I'm not even sure I'd say I'm offended by his comedy, more that I find intentionally offensive comedy just kinda boring. But, you know, different strokes for different folks and all that.

I kind of despise Jim Norton's comedy, but man, I'd almost like to see Norton V. Fozzie.

Why the hell did we never get that crossover?!

beema, my dude, you gotta get yourself a copy editor!

Save that rioting for when Cena next wins, dammit!

I wouldn't be totally shocked if they were a little limited in terms of how much they could use Linda Cardellini. This is something I'd always like tracked and tabulated for animated shows, which is who in the cast was only sporadically available or who could only be budgeted for a certain number of episodes.

This sounds like it's wildly overestimating Syfy's house-moving resources, but sure, as good a theory as any.

I have two reactions to this:
1) Frank Welker is a legend, and I kinda feel they should retire Scooby-Doo once he's ready to step aside as Fred. I just can't imagine a different permanent voice for Fred.
2) It's not a fuckin' scarf, it's a fuckin' ascot, and it's fuckin' glorious!!!

I can see why he's kind of a tricky piece for casting agents to know how to utilize. But Alphas, pretty good as it was, still feels at least two echelons below what he ought to have been doing.

If you guys are going around annotatin' my WOTs, I swear to god, I'm gonna write such a whiny Medium post about it…

I mean, the "premiere/finale" can't really be set aside. It's intrinsic to this dang format!

I'll spare us all a deeply tedious rehashing of this argument — especially since you give at least a mild vote of confidence to unions — but I'll just say that (a) lockouts are at the discretions of owners, not players, and (b) I'm always going to be in favor of a system that gives labor the best shot at receiving

Real talk: Eureka >>>>>>>>>>> Warehouse 13. I just wanted to be polite.

If you wanna get reimbursed at the end of your month, you bet your ass you should have!

It wasn't, but it was by the late '00s/early '10s, which is the era I'm inviting everyone to remember.

I've told you before, THAT ISN'T COVERED BY YOUR HMO.

I suppose historically sports fandom is tied up with regional identities — people rooted for the Celtics because they represented Boston, for the Red Wings because they represented Detroit, for Arsenal because they represented that very specific part of London, etc. That "sports as regional pride" metaphor still

The children gotta fuckin' learn sooner or fuckin' later!
