I know I am in the minority, but I do not care, my favorite Kubrick film is Eyes Wide Shut. If it was not for the Cruside/Kidman media circus, this film would had been more highly regarded.

My bets for films feature in the next two future installments:
A Wong Kar Wai film (probably Chungking Express)
Afterlife
A Takaehi Kitano Film (probably Sonatine or Hana Bi)
Jurassic Park
12 Monkeys
Being John Malkovitch
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
Dazed and Confused
Unforgiven
Red
Fight Club
The Usual Suspects
The Sixth Sense
Fargo

Cure is an astounding film.

Say what you will about the script of the Seven ( I think it is at least decent), but it is a masterpiece in terms of directing. Khondji's cinematography is breathtaking — one of the most beautiful films of the last twenty years. The opening credits and the set designs are also both astounding.

Maybe for the worst — but it is arguably in top 5 most influential, Hollywood films of the last twenty year.

I prefer Mean Streets over Goodfellas. Means Streets feels so raw and European (in a good way).

I am in the camp that prefers Terminator over Terminator 2. Yeah, when it comes to the special effects it does not match the sequel, but other than that, I prefer the original. I even prefer the fashion of the original.

It is bad news for East LA.

I love the Nick Cave concert scene in Wings of Desire. It is arguably my favorite concert scene in a documentary film, along with the The Yardbirds, photo-hipster performance in Blow Up.

I do not agree with him most of the time, but he is always an entertaining read. Plus he is not a troll; he always tries to argue his point of view in a eloquent manner.

"If somebody wanted to throw a bunch of money at me, I could write a
lengthy essay about my general frustration with PTA, which extends even
to There Will Be Blood (easily his best film, in my opinion, but still maddeningly nebulous)." — Mike D'Angelo's Letterboxd review of The Master.
