Not really brilliant given that vince gilligan is pretty open about comparing walt to scarface in his pitch for the show, and the promo right before the episode literally compared the two.

Very interesting about the season being a spiritual sequel in some ways. As the episode aired I could have sworn that the bar that Don was at in the end was the one from the pilot. Or, at anyrate, looked a lot like it.
