First a shout-out on Preacher, now his own series. I guess we're living in the Phillippaissance.

Had to explain to my two teenage sons who Ryan Phillippe is.
Not sure why Jesse didn't use the voice on Quincanon and say to him "you don't want the church". I suppose he was a bit reticent given what he did to Eugene and how "serve God" didn't seem to take in the first instance.
All I can hear in my head is White Sox announcer Ken "Hawk" Harrelson, who uses the phrase "he gone" whenever a White Sox pitcher strikes out an opponent.
When I clicked on the link, I thought the title would be Killing Me Softee.
They kidnapped people from the front (Claire, for example), but there were far more of them , and the front people had the plane's manifest so they were able to figure out Ethan wasn't a passenger, thwarting his infiltration plan.
"What was the island" and its relationship to the outside world was addressed in the article above - the "cork" metaphor.
What "biggest" mysteries did they leave unsolved? The show explained what the Island was, who Jacob was, etc.

Not sure why Alex keeps on misspelling the Abbies as "Abies" without noticing everyone else in the comments spells them correctly (Plus, the books spell them as "Abbies"). It's kind of jarring in the review as "Abies" sounds like those who are devotees of Lincoln or Homer Simpson's father.
Yeah, next thing we know Jay Karnes is going to be arrested for animal cruelty.
Late to the party (or gala) here, but wasn't Jacqueline's raising of arms as everyone left Deirdre's gala a shout-out to the (now) iconic shot of the Night's King in Game of Thrones raising the dead at Hardhome?
Speaking of murders of Gotham cops, the squad has to have a mortality rate approaching 80% based on what we've seen in two seasons, with about half of those murders taking place within the station itself. It's a miracle anyone signs up for the force.
Seeing as Silver Streak was released all the way back in 1976, I think Stan brought a legit copy of it by.
