I've been watching this myself, and am now 7 episodes in (and I'm only going to watch the last 3 to see how things turn out), and yeah part 2, option 2 really applies here, not funny enough or not dramatic enough.

Seeing the pic, I was hoping this was the Strike Team from The Shield going back in time and kicking ass. I can picture a scene where John Wilkes Booth goes to kill Lincoln in Ford's Theatre only to find Vic Mackey in a fake beard and stove-pipe hat.

Yeah, I doubt Park Chan-Wook saw that film, but if he did we would know what inspired Oldboy.

While The Eagles had their way with a tune and harmonies (and they were prominent in my record collection growing up in the 70s), what they "represented" was rank misogyny, even by the standards of male 70s rock stars.

The first 2-3 seasons of Homicide (and maybe the last when Giancarlo Esposito joined the cast) were great, but when they started adding the pretty faces to the squad and tried to set up Luther Mahoney as the "big bad" the show really became unmoored.

My favorite sequel subtitle is "Confessions of a Trickbaby", from the Freeway sequel without Reese Witherspoon (but with Natasha Lyonne).

I always considered the guy who left Edith at the altar the live-action embodiment of the Buzz Killington character from Family Guy.

Just got done watching it, and I have to say the biggest disappointment is that Rose Leslie is in this, and not once does she say "You know nothing, John Luther".

I'm holding out hope for the Wings reboot, they can call "Wings: Return Flight" or "Wings: Back in the Air".

Quinn pretty much had to die in the context of the show once he was shown in the terrorist video demonstrating the sarin. His face was seen by millions (if not tens of millions) around the world, so his days as a stealth operative were over.

If she accepts Otto's proposal, and she outlives him (which is actuarially likely), Carrie could divide her life into before, During and after.

Yeah, of CSNY only Young is on the level of Dylan, Orbison and Harrison.

Aw, Third was really good, even if they did miss Orbison. Del Shannon was set to become Orbison's replacement but then he dropped dead as well.

"Mr. Blue Sky" is great, as it's basically McCartney's middle eight ("woke up, fell out of bed") from "A Day in the Life" extended into full-song form. Lynne even reprises McCartney's out-of-breath panting in the song.

He should have looked up How to Disappear Completely but now he's left High and Dry.

The only people worse than the radical Islamists are those who continually put unnecessary apostrophes into plural words.

Well, the Japanese didn't surrender after the demonstration at Hiroshima, so I doubt Bikini would have worked even if it had come first.

I was just surprised that Lou and Hank were the first ones on the scene in South Dakota, given that it's way out of their jurisdiction.

Noah Hawley already said he wasn't setting Season 3 in the 20s or 30s because "the cars are too expensive". Of course he could have been joking/bullshitting.
